That's not how the official police action reads (from Matt Barrow, Sacto Bee, April 14):

"The woman at the center of an ongoing police investigation involving Colin Kaepernick and two other NFL players was taken from the players' hotel suite to the hospital by Miami Fire Rescue personnel, who were summoned to the suite by police. Multiple sources said it was one of the players who placed calls -- two of them -- to police.

"At 12:32 (a.m.), Miami Fire Rescue was dispatched to the Viceroy (hotel) and transported a 25-year-old female from the Viceroy to the Jackson Memorial Hospital emergency room," Miami Fire Lt. Ignatius Carroll told The Miami Herald. Carroll later told The Bee that the Miami Police Department summoned emergency responders to the hotel."

She was apparently unconscious when transported, having ingested something in liquid and/or gaseous form that made her pass out. (One tape, police said, is of a male voice asking for help to remove a woman from the hotel room who he claims refused to leave until "the player she came to see returns. - Fresno Bee, April 18th.) But when police and responders came they determined that the woman was in such serious condition - not just passed out - that she should be sent to the emergency room of the hospital. Afterward, the woman filled out an incident report and took a rape test.

This sounds like a lot more than " 1 girl passed out and was later sent to the hospital." In fact, no matter the relationship of the woman to Kaepernick, it sounds pretty sinister.

You being ironic? He seems pretty funny in commercials and his dad seems to have a rare humor streak. I think I'd be staring at his strange head shape most of the time, though.
Um um um. Babydaddy for Forrest Gump. And a Maury appearance. Misfortune, misfortune.
And what's the worst that can happen under that? He enters the NFL draft earlier?

No, "It's good to be Peyton!" (Dadgummit.)

Wait a minute. She's "out of work," but she's been "working." Something fishy here, Elizabeth Clinquist, if that is your name.

Dude, talks lead up to signing. Talks are suspended. That's not a good sign for the player when the GM has said earlier we want to get this done. I don't know why your downplaying what appears to be fact in favor of I don't what.

Here's what Baalke was quoted as saying with respect to Kaepernick's contract on March 25: "We???re going to work extremely hard, very diligently in trying to get something done prior to training camp. That???s the objective right now, as it stands." "Tabling" contract talks seems an about-face and it can only be because Baalke has other stuff to go on, whether in regard to Miami or, as talk has it, other incidents. (If videoing was in fact involved, you can bet good money there were other incidents.)

Mmm. The Miami issue is supposed to be just the tip of the iceberg for Kaepernick. There are apparently other "incidents."

Hey, NCAA football is the tryout league for the NFL. This is a money situation - not playing means less or no bucks - and it's not the players' fault.
