Agreed!

Heck, he will probably only get $10M at best after the gubment steps in and takes their share!
Posted Monday November 23, 2009, About: Should Notre Dame join Big Ten?
NBC could get out of any contract at any time they want, but NBC has nothing else for Saturday afternoons except ND and even if ND loses every other game, the ratings will beat ice skating or horse racing every week. Oh yeah, CW has a contract that expires in 2015, so I guess ND is stuck with him until then? There are endless possibilities for ND to work out television contracts and still join Big10, or BigEast or whatever football conference that will have them. The Big 10 has a pretty sweet television contract deal now that pays the schools in the conference well, even if their games are not shown as often as others.

They should make him earn that $18M by staying until he quits!
Posted Tuesday November 10, 2009, About: Weis putting blame on Irish players?
CW should try harder to get fired so he can collect his $18M sooner! Now, how much will they have to pay a quality coach to come to ND with the current situation as it is?
Posted Tuesday November 10, 2009, About: Navy loss a deal-breaker for Weis?
Actually Drew Brees went to Westlake High School in Austin with my cousin before they both went on to Purdue, however it is near Lake Travis High where you forgot Todd Reesing was QB before going on to start as QB currently at Kansas University.

God, we can only hope so!
Posted Monday November 09, 2009, About: Weis putting blame on Irish players?
Charlie might be able to design offensive schemes, especially ones that work in the NFL, but he cannot coach players. NOT a head coaching job in his future, so hopefully he can stay at ND a while longer.
Posted Monday November 09, 2009, About: Navy loss a deal-breaker for Weis?
Yes, Navy actually has a fairly good football team this year and it was a close game, but let's not let facts get in the way of a good story.

"The 6-foot-1, 215-pound senior made the decision without ever seeing the Hurricanes' Coral Gables campus."

Better sign him before he gets shot in Miami.
Posted Monday October 26, 2009, About: Kiffin: I wasn't going to let refs lose game for us
"I wasn't going to let the refs lose the game for us there and some magical flag appear"

Happens all too often, not just in the SEC, refs and replay officials make bad calls both by error and sometimes on purpose, it hurts the sport overall.
Posted Monday October 26, 2009, About: Bradford not necessarily done with OU
Would almost surely raise draft stock by returning next year and playing well at Oklahoma again, however could also get hurt again and see stock drop beyond first round to 2nd or 3rd if he can still play. Big gamble, but might be worth it. Stock market is really risky these days... but someone will take a chance on him either way, so I say take the chance to increase stock.

Posted Wednesday October 14, 2009, About: Will Bradford return for senior season?
Yep, at age 19 beat UT and McCoy, also won the Big 12 championship game last 2 years in a row. Stayed in the NC game against UF until 4th quarter and lost by 10 points in final minutes. Long time until NFL draft and a lot can happen to change things between now and then.
Posted Wednesday October 14, 2009, About: Bowden leaning toward coming back
Give him a buyout package and send him packing, time to move forward with the program. This BS has got to hurt recruiting for FSU and helps UF, UM, UGA, AL, etc. Again, maybe make him "Director of Player Relations" or some other BS job with a big salary for a year or two and his fans will be happy.
Posted Wednesday October 14, 2009, About: Will Bradford return for senior season?
I said that Sam Bradford was not ready and would not go pro last year, not sure that anything has changed my mind this year. There will be at least 2 QBs picked before him this year for sure, next year, who knows? The kid, yes he is still a kid, is enjoying life right now and is in no big hurry, which is good thing. Another year at Oklahoma to improve on his skills would be good, but an injury would be very bad, lots of things can happen and it is a big chance to take.
Posted Tuesday October 13, 2009, About: Quarterback controversy at Michigan?
Two QB systems almost always fail, pick one and stay with them, if you make a switch, don't do it in the middle of a game and don't go back and forth between them ever.
Posted Tuesday October 13, 2009, About: FSU fans supporting Bowden
HC jobs are not permanent positions at any school. They don't guarantee tenure to football coaches for a reason, they are replaceable. It may seem different for JoPa and Bobby, but it really is not. If the school wants to "promote" (read demote) him to assistant athletic director or director of football relations or some such job to "reward" his years of service, so be it, but do whatever it takes to satisfy the fans. Heck, even name the stadium or football field or field house after him, that's fine, but when it is time for a new coach, it is time for a new coach.
Posted Monday October 12, 2009, About: Dez Bryant to meet with NCAA
You can apologize as long as you don't mention the NCAA rules investigation committee, any NCAA officials, or the NCAA in general. Oh yeah, and you cannot do it at the house of anyone that has every been a player, coach, official, agent, employee or in any other way associated with the NFL or any of its affiliates and of course you cannot do it at the house of any coach, alumni, booster, employee, etc of the NCAA school in which the alleged infraction occurred. Punishment for any violation varies based upon the bias towards said school and/or player(s), coach, etc. involved.
Posted Thursday October 08, 2009, About: Deion in middle of Dez Bryant case
No player or coach knows all of the NCAA rules. The NCAA rules book for players, coaches, recruits, etc is thicker than the NYC phone book and it takes a team of attorneys to figure out what many if not most of them really mean in each different situation. It is against their rules for most anyone associated with the Univeristy (coaches, faculty, staff, alumni, boosters, etc.) to have a player (or prospective player) in their home and give them a meal (or do their laundry, etc). Also could be against the rules to have contact (dinner at private home, etc) with anyone associated with the NFL in many if not most cases. Of course, there are exceptions to many if not most rules and lots of circumstances that would make some rules not apply, but lying to the NCAA is strictly forbidden in ALL circumstances, no matter the magnitude of the lie, can't do it, or else! It really sux for the players, coaches, staff, alumni, boosters, students, fans, etc, but the NCAA rules are hard to figure out sometimes.
