The reason why Burke is willing to move Kaberle is to free up cap space for him to make moves now & in the future. Kessel is a good young forward. Burke obviously want the Swede goalie so he needs to make room for him. Give Burke 3 years before you judge him.

You didn't see him dangle Schenn to try to move up in the draft or to get a goalscorer did you? Why???? Cause he is a a young stud Dman

Gaborik should have got a 1yr deal worth $5mil to see how he did then someone could have signed him long term for bigger $. The NYR just overpaid again!

Snow should absolutely make a smart trade with this pick. The Islanders can get so much back in return for their #1 pick. Their #1 scorer last year was a Dman. Outside of Streit they had no one score more than 40 points. So you would say bring in Tavares he will score. But scoring requires in most cases somewhat of a system making you the center of attention or a supporting cast. The team should be built with more than just 1 player.

The common denominator is Shaq. Orlando, Los Angeles, Miami, Phoenix...now where? He is a 7'1" 325lb center who hasn't won a rebounding championship. Sure he has scored but if you were that big & tall you would just back people down like he does and slam it or lay it in. He can't shoot and is the worst free throw shooter in the history of the game. He has always made himself a sideshow or the show itself no matter where he went. I don't find him all that amazing.
