It makes me proud that a long-time, full-blooded Yankee was the reason they won last night. I was pulling for the Phillies, because after spending half of a billion dollars in the offseason, the Yankees seemingly 'bought' this championship. For a vet Yankee to do so well, not one of the high-priced FAs, that makes this LESS of a smack to to the face of American sports.
