I don't think you can win a championship if your best player is Lebron. He can't shoot and he can't guard anyone.

they've tried to surround him with great defensive players to mask his glaring defensive weakness, and good shooters but it still hasn't worked. The Cavs routintely have 4-5 other guys put up double figures, but it's tough since Lebron dominates the ball so much.

at some point he needs to look in the mirror and realize his failures are his fault and not everyone else's. he needs to be on a team where he can be a 2nd option player.

iT isn't the coach's fault that his star player is a pansy against good teams and his go-to move is the bailout foul from the refs and can't make a jumpshot to save his life. LeFraud needs to look in the mirror and realize he's not that good and never was. No coach will give him a heart all of a sudden.

Josh's idea of offense is for him to hold the ball for 20 seconds while everyone stands around, and then take a step back 20 footer and proceed to airball it. I don't know what happened to him. He's a 3rd option offensively, a guy who could be slashing and SHOULD benefit more than anyone playing alongside Kidd, yet he has done nothing but regress over the past 2 seasons. Jason terry is, and has always been the 2nd best Mavs player since 05, and I don't want to see his shot attempts go down because Howard is jacking up his idiotic shots that kill the offensive flow.

What dallas needs is an athletic, slashing shooting guard who can also guard the top shooting guards. Dirk is Dirk and is the one guy in the league besides Duncan who gets you 50 wins with any supporting cast. He plays in the post enough. And by the way, Bosh does not play in the low post at all. He's a lighter version of Dirk.

KG is tougher than Dirk because he's black. Ignore the fact that he backs down to anyone who stands up to him. But he's black and has tats and beats his chest, so he MUST be tougher than Dirk.

I wonder how many people here actually know the Mavs at all. Their post/interior defense is excellent, it's their perimeter defense that gets destroyed all the time. And there's a glaring hole at shooting guard. If they can trade josh howard for a real small forward they will go back to being contenders.

I'm frightened by his mass rallies where he talks a lot but says nothing of substance while inspiring a sort of irrational fervor among his suppoerters we have not seen in decades.

Don't get me wrong, he's a nice 2nd option to have, but you can't just give him the ball at the end of the game and ask him to get the bucket. And thats what a franchise guy has to do.

Amare has no post moves or offense outside of the pick and roll and a spin move in the paint. He's awkward as hell otherwise.
He's a 2nd or 3rd option on a good team, not a franchise player.

Dirk got just as far as Kobe has gotten post-Shaq with a far worse supporting cast than Kobe. So don't act like Kobe is any better.

on no other team would josh howard or jason terry be a 2nd option legitimately. those guys are 3rd options at best.

the amount of hate dirk recieves in unbelievable. no one else except for duncan gets you 50 wins a season no matter who his teammates are.

Funny how garnett gets all the credit despite being absolutely awful in the playoffs as a 3rd option. Not to mention Kobe's choke job in the Finals.

No other player in the nba could get a team to the finals out west with josh freaking howard as a 2nd option, but Nowitzki-the most underappreciated player of his era.
