I saw on ESPN that the winning percentage of Davie and Willingham when both were fired is the exact same winning percentage of Weis right now. .583. It will be interesting to see if he survives.

It sounds like the team has some issues. Jackson seems like a bad seed but they seem to want to try anything possible to keep him.

Nothing against UGA but with the coaching situation there, why would Lattimore want to go there? I think Martinez is done and Richt, although they beat the Barners, better win against Georgia Tech. I know UGA fans say Richt is safe, but we heard that about several coaches in the SEC and then all of a sudden they were done.

And now I'll comment on the actual article, instead of replying to delusional homers like Indianvol....

We obviously wanted him but they dirty recruited and told him we would be in more trouble over the book thing. I'm not crying because dirty recruiting is not illegal, and pretty much everyone does it. It's not against the rules to tell someone we'll get hit harder over the book thing. He believed it.

More power to him.

And, oh by the way, we picked up a 5 star recruit this week from North Carolina. So, I don't think Coach Saban is up at nights crying over losing Mr. James. These things do happen sometimes. Even the great Urban Meyer lost a recruit to Tennessee.

I think a lot of us knew their defense, while talented, was not a championship defense. Note to Carroll: It's not the scheme. It's the players. It's not the Xs and Os, it's the Johnnies and Joes. Nothing wrong with them that a year or so of seasoning won't help.

I differ with that. Alabama has state of the art facilities. They have maybe the best academic facility for the sports programs.

And you are crazy about cities to recruit from. Everyone knows Tennessee is not a hotbed for a lot of recruits. You get some decent recruits from West Tennessee but virtually nothing from the East.

I know you must be a UT fan, because your bias is showing through. I'll give you the better basketball programs and the HC wife, but I guarantee you we are at least equivalent on all the rest.

Here's a link to Division 1 talent. Note how they have Alabama at #6. Tennessee is not on the list.
