Miami of Ohio, UCF, UAB, San Diego State, Buffalo, Florida A&M.
Seems a little hypocritical for you to say that about Alabama's schedule, considering Ohio State's out of conference schedule. I'm not bragging that Alabama's is sooo much better, but on the other hand, I'm not criticizing anyone, either.
I gave my reasoning. I was talking about consistency. No one disagrees that UGA has talent, but they haven't really utilized it very well over the past few years.
The other 3 have utilized their talent and it has showed. LSU would be where Alabama is, if Alabama was somewhere else. LSU has been the Esteban Dejesus to our Roberto Duran (in the lightweight years).
Wow, it seems I have annoyed you a tad. Say anything you want about Alabama, but don't say anything that might not put UGA in the best of light! Every recruiting post that has Alabama in it - always make a comment about oversigning or paying players, but by God, don't say UGA is not in the top 3, or the dawgs will be after ya!!!
Tennessee has a poor recruiting base. It's going to take a truly dynamic and energetic coach to bring them back, and Coach Saint Saban is already taken and Koolaid orange clashes with his blue suit.
Also, I think it is too early to assume that TAMU will be with Alabama and LSU consistently. LSU's area is too flush with great players for them to ever not be top 10 team. Alabama with the right Coach - like Coach Saban, can win big.
Texas is a big state, and has a lot of talent, but to think The University of Texas will never be back is a very myopic view of that state's teams. Mack is old and tired. Texas needs new blood, and when they get it, and if it is a good coach, then they will be a power again. And that will siphon off talent currently going to TAMU. It was just 3-4 years ago Texas signed who they wanted in Texas and everyone else got whatever Texas wouldn't or couldn't sign.
I know. I know. I think the problem here, and I'm trying as hard as possible to be humble and not succeeding, is that parity that we used to brag about in the SEC, is not really there anymore. There's the top 3 and then the rest. Sure, auburn "won it" in 2010, but they really bought it. The rest of the time it is the top 3 of Alabama, LSU, and Florida.
If you listen to sports radio down here just about everyone never picks anyone other than Alabama or LSU for the West and Florida for the East, no matter what happened the year before.
I will always pick Florida over South Carolina, until South Carolina proves they can win the East. Georgia is better but they seem too inconsistent for me to favor them over Florida. Just like this year, I think it will be Florida and not Georgia and yes, I know UGA went to the SECCG two years in a row.
I wonder how they'll handle it if we go to Super Conferences. They will have to change some rules and "not playing everyone in your division" will almost have to go by the wayside.
The one thing I have about this is.... No one and I mean no one, had an issue with us playing Tennessee every year when they were beating us in the 90s. Everyone thought that was sooo great. Now, we're doing it, and everyone has an issue with it.
We'll do whatever you guys want. When we keep winning, what will be the beef, then?
I have some of those games. It's very debatable that their "likenesses" were used in game. Have you guys seen the player in the game? they don't look like any real players.
Although in last years, Arkansas state's coach had those goofy glasses Gus Malzahn wears.
If anyone remembers, which they probably do not. Lache Seastrunk first made a big time splash at "Big Cat Weekend" in auburn. He wa quoted saying some things about Coach Saban that he later had to apologize for.
About 3 weeks after that "Big Cat Weekend", auburn had to stop recruiting him due to Trooper Taylor's contact with him, and iirc this was one of the main reasons Trooper had to do what is called "sitting down" in recruiting for a couple of months.
Greg Robinson, who I think is projected to be a started for auburn this year, was also rumored to be connected to Willie Lyles. Robinson was heavily expected to go to LSU and at the last minute went to auburn.Trovon Reed as well.
The NCAA was rumored tro be looking into connections between Lyles and Sean Nelson, who figured big in the recruitment of Trovon Reed and Greg Robinson, both of whom were considered heavy LSU leans. Reed never even visited auburn before committing.
Everyone knows the only cheating that goes on is in the SEC, well, except for Urban Meyer, but he learned everything he knows about cheating from when he was in the SEC.

Has anyone heard any talk of going to 13 regular season games? I bet someone is thinking about it somehwere.
I would say Washington State, but Leach might have them rising in the next few years. :)
