Posted Friday February 10, 2012, About: Manning 'can't throw the ball' to his left
"If Peyton had real grit like Tim Tebow he would be able to compete tomorrow." - Skip Bayless (not really, but you could see him say it, right?)
Posted Wednesday February 08, 2012, About: Hamilton has a new 'accountability partner'
That's different, "in sickness and in health" and all that jazz.
Posted Wednesday February 08, 2012, About: Hamilton has a new 'accountability partner'
It's a sad day when you need a babysitter as a 30+ year old man.
Posted Saturday February 04, 2012, About: Meyer already running afoul of Big Ten?
Sounds like Bielema is just upset that he is only decent at recruiting (mid-40s or less most years) and Urban Meyer can come into a job and swing some undecided/soft elsewhere recruits (Noah Spence for example) to his program in far less time than Wisconsin spends recruiting their O-line, raising OSU up to a top-5 rated class without much effort. Assuming no more NCAA problems, and a few more WR recruits and current players continued development, OSU will have it's next realistic championship shot in 2-3 years, while Wisconsin is probably going to fade back to Cap-1 bowl status.

He's a man... he's almost 30!
Posted Monday January 23, 2012, About: Mayo staying put?
I think that OJ Mayo is one of the more underrated players in the NBA, especially when you consider (as Bill Simmons laid out in a piece a month or so ago) just how uncertain the SG situation in the NBA is. Gone are the days of every team having, or wanting, a cornerstone SG. The only franchise level players left at the position are Kobe and Wade, with a bunch of scorers only with no defense (Ellis, Martin, Jamal Crawford, Nick Young), old guys (Carter, Hamilton (sort of)), and role players being the middle between the young up and comers such as Eric Gordon.

The biggest story in college football? It couldn't possibly be the NCG screw-up that left OkSU on the outside looking in, could it?
Posted Sunday December 18, 2011, About: Steelers happy to see 'arrogant' Graham leave Pitt
What's next, James Harrison complaining about cheap shots? Mike Tomlin questioning the officiating?

Posted Wednesday December 14, 2011, About: Adelman: Double-threat not enough for Love
Maybe he should work on defense, and shot blocking. I'm not expecting him to become Dikembe Mutumbo, but would it kill him to occasionally smack a ball out of the air?
Posted Tuesday December 13, 2011, About: Davis may be done in Cleveland
The talk I've heard is that they're going to hang on to Davis and let him serve as somewhat of a mentor to Irving and Sessions, carefully control his minutes and playing situations, and deal him next year, when his contract is near its end. They're allegedly planning the same for Jamison this year - let him mentor Thompson on the offensive part of the game, and then trade him for young guys/a pick later this year
Posted Monday December 12, 2011, About: Carlisle claims best trio in the league
I guess they need five point guards to complement their fifteen small forwards.
Posted Friday December 09, 2011, About: Does Paul have 'biggest lawsuit' on his hands?
I think that anyone who says they didn't eventually see some sort of controversy coming out of New Orleans involving Chris Paul, the NBA's ownership of one of its franchises, or both, is either crazy or lying.
Posted Thursday December 01, 2011, About: Is Josh Cribbs in the doghouse?
In the grand scheme of the NFL, Josh Cribbs isn't that special. He's still an impact returner, but as a receiver he's average at best. And as for "caring about winning", there are plenty of other players that care about winning.
Posted Wednesday November 23, 2011, About: Suh offers Pack bulletin board material
SN Interns offer bulletin board material by reusing a title - Fill in Suh with Barkley and Pack with Oregon.
Posted Monday November 21, 2011, About: Coughlin rips 'pathetic' rushing attack
If I was the Giants, I would be embarrassed for not running well against the Eagles D. Their run D is more porous than a piece of pumice. And the sad part was that the Eagles D slipped late and let the Giants get to the 21. I could just see the Giants tying the game up, and then winning in overtime. Babin just got lucky that Eli didn't check behind him as he ran out to the side of the pocket.
Posted Tuesday November 08, 2011, About: Calipari toys with defense in 125-40 win
Let's take this game with a grain of salt.... they played at home against Morehouse College. Can anyone here even tell us what league Morehouse is in? Or where it's at? Or what division?
Posted Friday October 28, 2011, About: Nation's top TE prospect commits to Gators
Forgive me then, I forgot that Muschamp changed up the scheme. I'm lagging on Gators news, since I'm not really a Gators fan.
Posted Friday October 28, 2011, About: Jacobs can't wait to get out of New York
I remember three/four years ago when Brandon Jacobs and his counterpart Marion Barber in Dallas seemed like unstoppable forces who could carry a DL and two LBs on their backs for an extra 5 years. Now, neither of them is the same runner.
Posted Friday October 28, 2011, About: Nation's top TE prospect commits to Gators
Why would a TE go to Florida... they aren't really a great fit in the spread offense.
Posted Friday October 28, 2011, About: Crawford: I can be better than Michael
No one sets out to be "just okay." Everyone wants to be the greatest. Although this guy will probably never be greater than Michael Jordan, I admire him for having the courage to say what every basketball player out there thinks but is afraid to admit.
