Posted Wednesday June 19, 2013, About: Is Johnny Manziel an elite NFL prospect?
Whereas 10-15 years ago he would have been thought of as a mid-late round conversion project (safety, slot WR, etc...), in today's NFL, he probably is an elite QB prospect. Mobile, marginal throwers are getting the looks they used to not get. VY and RGIII are examples. Before you flame me for RGIII, let's not forget that he was briefly projected as a WR before his Heisman campaign. And as good as you think he did last year, I think the jury is still out on him. So yeah, Manziel probably gets some mention as a high round QB pick.

Every sport could use a good bench clearing brawl now and again. It's good for the sport, and gives the guys a good release for pent up aggression. I wish the NBA would allow guys to come off the bench without facing suspension.
Posted Monday June 10, 2013, About: A new bit of bad news for Braun
I'll personally be glad to see 'ol Ryan Braun get his due punishment. When he got off on that TECHNICALITY, had he kept his mouth shut and gone about his business I wouldn't be so against the guy. But to call that press conference and spout off about being vindicated and how it proved he did nothing wrong, put that guy firmly atop my $h!t-list.
Posted Thursday June 06, 2013, About: Most likely to land in London
They're falling into the trap of continual growth. Every major company seems to have this problem. Constantly looking to expand and increase the bottom line. When is enough enough? You eventually water down your brand or overextend yourself. It would be refreshing to see a corporation say, "nah, we're good where we're at. No more new stores. Don't need any more profit." Rarely if ever happens. The NFL will only hurt itself through further expansion and more games.
Posted Sunday June 02, 2013, About: Report: Why Raiders owner Mark Davis fired PR director
As a Raider fan, this troubles me. I thought they had turned a new page, but apparently not. Still a loon running the show, and probably undercutting McKenzie's decisions in the process. Judging from the pic, I guess I can now wait another 20-30 years for Mark to keel over, and maybe then we'll truly turn that new page.
Posted Thursday May 30, 2013, About: Dirtiest player in the league
I can't speak to his dirtiness...but I can without a doubt say he is the biggest crybaby in the league. He appears to have toned it down some in this years playoffs. But damn if for the last few years watching him play, he's constantly whining to the refs about not getting some phantom call all the way up the court. It's annoying. Shut up and play.
Posted Friday May 24, 2013, About: How good is Snoop Lion's son?
You should see Snoop Dog play WR, he is actually pretty good! He looks like a slow lazy pothead, but when he puts the pads on, he can ball! I'm sure there are clips on the interwebz.

They were my favorite team growing up with that group. Glenn Rice too!
Posted Thursday May 16, 2013, About: No contact between Ainge and Pierce or KG
If I was an NBA team, I'd be breaking down the door to get KG. The man is intense, hustles, is a leader, and would be a great veteran presence to any team.
Posted Wednesday May 15, 2013, About: Packers want Favre back in the family
If he wants to go to the Hall as a Viking or Jet, let him. He'll be the one looking foolish. All this crap is because Favre got buttt-hurt that he lost his job to Aaron Friggin' Rogers. It's not like he got benched for Nick Foles or something. He needs to get over it. If he can't, that's his problem.
Posted Tuesday May 14, 2013, About: Is Wade the weak link?
These NBA guys trying to make a fashion statement look stupid. And that goes for the lenseless glasses too. Looks absolutely stupid.
Posted Monday May 13, 2013, About: Bulls mock LeBron James for Game 3 'flop'
When did basketball become such a pansie act? Guys flopping everywhere like they don't have a backbone. Every other sport, a push gets you that guy right back in your face. In basketball, it gets you a guy on the floor looking at the ref for a call. ugh.
Posted Monday May 13, 2013, About: Chandler calling out selfish Knicks?
While I agree with the Chandler comments about getting manhandled by Hibbert, the quote above is also the troof. It's what I've said about the Knicks all season, and why they won't be a championship contending team with that style of play. Just because you can score 30 with a bunch of shots doesn't make you a great player.
Posted Friday May 10, 2013, About: Not even Miami's GM knows who's playing
Loria is a liar and a weasel.
Posted Thursday May 09, 2013, About: Holmes has already picked a Jets QB winner
This made me think of the Jet GM who drafted Sanchez talking about a pre-draft dinner he had with Sanchez and I think the owner. He said Sanchez had the same qualities of a military general.
Posted Tuesday May 07, 2013, About: Manziel merely a marginal pro prospect
I actually agree with this. I've heard alot of mention of wait until Manziel comes out...he'll be a #1 pick....etc... I just don't see it. I see him going the route of alot of previous "running QB's" from back in the day. Although in today's NFL, those guys are getting more chances than they used to, but it still hasn't worked out.
Posted Thursday May 02, 2013, About: Young no longer a target for Raiders
Why does everybody suggest failures at other positions always need to play Tight End? Like it's some type of position for non athletes or something, or a position that doesn't have a learning curve or require special skills? Give it a whack, it's harder than you think. What other position requires you to block like a lineman and also go out and catch passes like a WR? For every Jimmy Graham, there are hundreds of failures.

I'm eager to see Hack in college. I was really impressed with him on the Elite 11 TV Show, and how he stuck to his committment to Penn State. Bright young man.
Posted Wednesday May 01, 2013, About: HGH use prevalent and on the rise
Too bad this stuff still isn't derived from Rhesus monkeys. The users and their bloated foreheads would be easy to spot.
Posted Tuesday April 30, 2013, About: Jerry wants Romo to work like Manning
As for Romo, I always hear about him at some pro-am golf tournament in the offseason. Something about the guys just rubs me wrong. Always has.
Posted Tuesday April 30, 2013, About: Jerry wants Romo to work like Manning
Great point. They just signed Flynn to a big FA contract. And while most coaches spout off that all positions are open in camp, most are in fact, not.
