He is not getting the max from anyone. The fact that the Hawks still have him says that much. If he was a max players he would've been gone and the Hawks would have received a nice package in return. I'd like to see Josh take less and stay a Hawk. Then let the franchise use cap space to continue to add to the team. He'd then spend his career in his hometown. This doesn't happen often. He only wants max because he feels he was always better than Joe. And he may be right, but neither of them are max players. Joe got lucky, now Josh gets his feelings hurt.

A free agent is just that..."free." They can sign wherever they want. Cleveland didn't own LeBron. They helped create the guy he has become. How many NBA players or professional athletes actually play in their hometowns anyway? I didn' t agree with the ESPN hour long announcement program, but he negotiated his last contract to be able to do what he wanted when it was over...and he did. Loyalty isnt in question. This guy had the right to do whatever he wanted and he did. Now he may or may not win a championship, but he'll have to live with the results. With his money and fame, I'm sure he'll live very lavishly.
