Posted Sunday May 19, 2013, About: Donte Stallworth claims CIA questioned him
Now, if Donte had observed other photogs outside CIA headquarters who were not "accosted," that might be cause for concern, resentment. He can't not be aware of the state of caution under which we all live, especially those associated with government facilities, in these uncertain times. It may have no connection but this story does put Mr. Stallworth back on people's radars, for however briefly and for curious cause, including those of NFL coaches & GMs.

Once you go purple you never back to green & gold, not with feeling, anyway.
Posted Saturday May 11, 2013, About: Rutgers admits Eddie Jordan never graduated
And given the positions EJ's indicating, they must've been "spectacular!"

Whomever picked Eddie's pic here seems as non-qualified as does the Rutgers gem who vetted-out his resume / records in the pre-hire, application process, the higher-up who may've been made aware of the non-degree status but chose to look the other way or even the applicant (EJ) who might've failed to 'complete' the form. Given Rutgers recent poor history on the employment front (Rice & related persons), a simple admittance of "being in error (NYP)" doesn't suffice here.
Posted Wednesday May 08, 2013, About: Dockett hated Horton's scheme
Good one, and name & throwback logo.

I can appreciate Darnell's sentiment and how he tailored his comment but a little adaptability goes a long way. He must've slept through that NFL introductory film for rookies: 'The NFL: No Scholarships, No Tutors, Be All You Can Be.'
Posted Wednesday May 08, 2013, About: Manziel merely a marginal pro prospect
You just flash on this one, did ya' (NFL.com)? Glad to have ya' board.
Posted Tuesday April 23, 2013, About: Is Tyrann Mathieu a fit with the Bengals?
You feel compelled to saddle "the Bengals" with Tyrann, do you R-Ball? How 'bout ditching your title and moving the last line into it's place: "Is drafting Tyrann Mathieu worth the risk?" He may stay clean forever but the wise move would be to give it two years, see how he's holding up.
Posted Monday April 22, 2013, About: Seahawks agree to 4-year extension with Kam Chancellor
"Chancellor...is just one part?" This man is the key component to Seattle's vaunted defense. Hence, the "whopping $17M guaranteed," indicating the tremendous confidence Carroll & Schneider have in Kam.
Posted Monday April 08, 2013, About: Leslie Frazier wants Antoine Winfield to return to Vikings
Leslie Frazier is a smart man. Antoine Winfield, while long-in-the-tooth, is still top-notch talent that marginal Minnesota could use back. Seattle's very tempting with their pool of talent and apparent willingness to pay-up, while the Redskins, excepting Morris (RB) and tackle-machine Fletcher are more question-mark. Though Vikes are not quite as 'frugal' as their neighbors to the East (GB) and southward (CHI), it might help their cause if Leslie had Jared Allen and Adrian Peterson give Antoine a jingle.
Posted Tuesday March 19, 2013, About: Kraft: 'I don't answer to Tom Brady'
Time to put a sock in it, Bob. Your digging yourself a hole. And besides, we already get the picture: billionaire owners, millionaire agents & players, cozy media.
Posted Tuesday December 11, 2012, About: A look at the Arizona Cardinals collapse
Not much to look at. Cards were viable until Kolb went down. They were 4-1 (?) at that point. Besting Belichick & Brady anywhere, anytime, doesn't happen on a fluke. Lose your #1 QB in this League and everything changes. Even the defense will start to show the strain.
Posted Tuesday December 11, 2012, About: Joe Montana wanted to be traded to Steelers, not Chiefs
Thanks, Joe. Just what Chiefs' fans needed to hear. Him & Dwight Howard (Nets), not the sharpest tacks in the box.
Posted Monday December 10, 2012, About: Cam Cameron out in Baltimore
What an odd move. Twenty-eight points ain't bad. It's that Ravens' D that folded under pressure late in the game with an eight point lead. The dreaded prevent-defense again? Ray Lewis must've been livid.

I wouldn't have fired anyone, but would've had a long talk with the DC and special-teams coach (64 yard KO / OT return). Ravens had this one in the bag and gave it up.
Posted Thursday September 27, 2012, About: Brady dares league with swoosh cover-up
He (Tom) knows, "(w)e know what's under there," USA Today kid. He's making a statement.
Posted Thursday September 13, 2012, About: Tebow one-and-done in New York?
The Revelation: Tebow's a tight-end. It's his original position, he's built for it, has the hands for it, he'll get in the action and he'll be damn good at it. Just do it, already, for cry'in out loud.
Posted Friday August 31, 2012, About: Has the NFL run out of good ideas?
Question should be, has this intern-writer at WSJ "run out of good ideas?" Answer should be, yes.

23-and-under is a half-measure. Ditch the pros, have some confidence and go back to college players.

Posted Saturday July 07, 2012, About: Reggie wants to apologize to Carter's widow
Apologize for vagueness of my prior comment. Part of the uproar over Reggie Jacksons HOF comments might relate to one of his subject persons recent passing, Gary Carter. Carter died of cancer not long ago and I cant help but wonder if maybe the Carter connection is the bigger issue here as Jacksons views on HOF election are not off base. Maybe not access to healthcare in Garys case but the benefit from effective treatment. Many people are working hard to help find the answers and I applaud them. But money and a supportive population is a necessity.
Posted Saturday July 07, 2012, About: Reggie wants to apologize to Carter's widow
I like Reggie Jacksons HOF standard. We need real healthcare reform to funnel more of that wealth into finding more cures and effective treatments in the fight against cancer and other diseases.
