not much different than the big 2 and the little 8 not so long ago ....... didn't change the fact that the best teams were the best in the nation

Posted Monday June 20, 2011, About: Report: Johnson to hold out for new Titans deal
he is not holding out .... much like the owners he is opting out of the current deal to get a higher% of revenues..... I wouldn't play for one dime less than jeff fishers 5.6 million he was paid for this year. In fact I think I make ol BUD throw in fishers signing bonus plus half the money he saves by cutting vince young as a bonus just to show up.
This kid has a finite time to make his cash and it is not his fault he was underdfrafted by 20 plus picks . The titans would not have won 10 games the last 3 years w/o him and he will be ran into the ground before they are worth a bleep again . He better get his get his now because if not he will be 28 or 29 and used up in the same method clinton portis is at a young age and be deposited by the side of the road whilst the bungling overpays some more coaches and qbs to go 5-11 or whatever.

Ike is 80% solid 15% butterfingers 5% improvement desired

mcfadden is passable but it would be nice if 2 or 3 of the young corners lewis butler brown or allen show out real quick ...... 22 has got to go and if they attempted to keep all 4 young corners and resigned ike that would be the optimium utilization of the roster space . I think mcfaddens tackiling when healthy is a buoy but I think if the young ones show anything that is the best direction for the team.
Ike is not like revis or nnamdi or brandon flowers but I think he is a fringe top ten kinda corner back and if he doesn't try to act like the joker at the start of the dark knight (oops a bit dated) then I say pay SWAGGA & willie colon assuming he is 100% healed ......... sign the best punter off the scrap heap & david akers and get ready for another title.
Posted Sunday June 19, 2011, About: Pryor may be a star (but not in Pittsburgh)
you misunderstood

I meant no way I trade Ike for a project
He should be resigned at nearly whatever cost. but after those 3( ike wallace & sanders) I would take pryor
foote and chris hope were both very solid guys...... and ward was drafted before colbert took the job. But essex or an injury prone punter .... I will pass those type of guys for a talent like priors 100 times out of 100 in the steelers current situation.
I do think Colbert does well if not the steelers would not be where they are. Couple that with the efforts of lebeau tomlin & bigben are also hugely responsible for where they have been the last several years. In fact, I contend if tomlin punts instead of sending out suisham for that long field goal the steelers likely would at this time be revered as a dynasty with the pundits openly suggesting that big ben will be the 1st 5 time super bowl winning qb.
So colbert is very very good but I still take prior as the steelers often times take a guy before they need him and he is ready when called upon .... and a 4th round choice seems like a great spot to get a franchise qb for 2014 when ben will likely be beaten half to death . The style big ben plays will not allow him to play at a high level like brady or manning until he is 36 or 37 now is the time to start getting someone ready.
Posted Saturday June 18, 2011, About: Pryor may be a star (but not in Pittsburgh)
which 3rd or 4th rounder would you not have traded for a potential franchise qb w/ this kids skills -

wallace check sanders probably check ..... ike .... no way

but all the rest including a few you left out like kraig urbik tony hills bruce davis thaddeus gibson limas sweed willie reid fred gibson anthony smith trai essex ..... sepulveda ... an injury prone punter not exactly a home run choice ...... I love what colbert does but if he passes on pryor w/ round 4 in the supplemental he screws the pooch in my opinion.
I would likely take him in the 3rd just to be sure then start grooming him to take dixons place next year when dixon will move on down the trail or be traded.
Posted Saturday June 18, 2011, About: Pryor may be a star (but not in Pittsburgh)
H ewould make a great steeler ..... tale a couple 3 years to refine his skills and be fostered in a professional environment with his talent level he could make a very dangerous weapon in any offense with the proper seasoning. Add to the fact that colbert has a history of throw away picks in 3rd and 4th round ( sanders and wallace withstanding) . The kid took cars and cash & tattoos for trinkets the fascist NCAA gave him for their wanton exploitation of his skills .
I say the kid is a winner and if cambnewton is worth the 1st overall pick in the draft then pryor is easily worth a 3rd or 4th round supplemental choice.

Rosenhaus sacres me but perhaps he could be put out to pasture and the kid might end up being a frnachise QB for the same cost as a developemental guard or safety.

Were I mike tomlin I would bang the table for the kid .

watching and seeing arehorses of two different colors mate !

figures was no superstar but the current crop is two deep with ike and troy
with figures on the field in XLIV instead of 22 & 20 it would be 7 titles

HORRIBLE MOVE.

in the future you are married to both and if you need to cut one or trade or low ball on a contract then you lose two guys attutude wise perhaps.
Besides the way legursky played in the super bowl compared to the way the horrific cbs played . stevie wonder can see what is really needed .
A respectable guard can be found later in the draft and giving away a 2nd or 3rd round pick to get a guard is very foolish
I think they should sit tight and take aaron williams get the best guard in round 2 & then take curtis marsh another cb in round 3

He should trade up for a new postseason videographer.
He has had trouble winning since in the post season since his videographer was discovered / revealed by the mangenius.

He is good at piling up picks (the best) and acquiring a legion of syncophantic media fluffers - 3rd only to his qb and peyton manning. However , the cards he has turned in with players names on them have been a bit less flattering for the most part . Like pouring oil through a funnel - most runs out the bottom -but a bit of of clings to the funnel.
If there were a combine for GM's bill would
run 4.27
jump 43 & 1/2
10 yard split of 1.55
bench press 39 reps
but he would just not make any plays

hell he sounds like bruce campbell
Posted Monday April 18, 2011, About: Big Ben wants more rings than Bradshaw and Montana
exactly correct .... manning gets hit in a season about as much as #7 does in a month and still whines like a jr high cheerleader when it does happen. If he played behind that steeler line he would have been working for espn 3 years ago & we saw how brady performs under pressure(lately) against the giants, jets and ravens in his last 3 playoff games.
#7 does not look or at times sound like a franchise qb but the record bears it out - 2 rings and a runner-up plus more wins than brees manning & rivers plus more clutch post season play than the 3 all rolled into one . Those are guys who are always mentioned as franchise qb superstars

The only two that really can be in his ilk at this point are brady due to his past and rodgers - due to his likely future

one person in a million would agree but that is ok it still does not change the facts

The talking heads and ball washers ......... like mr starwood preferred always yak about manning but his losing career playoff record speaks clearly to the real player .......... classic bully picking on 98 lb weaklings and is just mediocre against quality opponents
9-10 is hardly epic franchise qb material this observer .

luckily then for footballs version of MR OCTOBER = he will get what he wants
Posted Saturday April 09, 2011, About: Palmer's not going anywhere
my only question is why do they want to keep him so badly. what has he accomplished he inspire such a burning desire to retain his services . zero playoff wins in close to a decade ......

I'll take QBs I do not want for 200$ alex

As a steeler fan my hope is they keep him forever !
Posted Monday April 04, 2011, About: Flacco not feeling love from Ravens
I would want his salary plus bulgers and then some to be forced into watching ray lewis' pregame ritual stupidity 16 or more times a season - plus
how much would you sue someone for if they beat yer **** as violently as the steelers do twice a year - that is worth alot just for the dainbramage

hey lets go to the booth review for a replay
Posted Wednesday March 09, 2011, About: Should Goodell resign?
the reason the big 3 failed is on management ........ anytime a company fails it is on management ......... Because their job is to manage and the company manages to fail
then the people who managed the company failed to manage it properly their job is to foresee problems and make adjustments .
was it maryann or gingers fault when jonas crashed the minnow ? ..............
- HELL no
same reason it is not workers fault when companies fail the workers are passengers on the owners boat & they will get thrown overboard afore the owners let the ship go down - so the workers must get all thgey can get while they can get it
The company agreed to the UAW demands and then produced incredibly poor products - regardless of cost - The American People will try to support our own but detroit made complete junk on the entry level and midlevel vehicles and people got tired of that quickly . In addition they sent tons of jobs out of the country and did an incredibly poor job with their product design ( aztec anyone or lemans part deux ) . The BIG 3 SHOULD BLAME THE ENGINEERS AND UPPER MANAGEMNT & NOBODY ELSE .
The owners are 95% to blame & tribe fan misses the point a mile .

The owners are declaring class warfare and they do not care what the people think - Those guys do not have lots of people on their minds when their heads hit the pillow . They are thinking of themselves . They beg for free stadiums ( using the good ol LOS ANGELES really wants a team GAMBIT to get about 10 new stadia built) and costly infrastructure from taxpayer funded projects and they want to keep it all ......... kid yerself not if they could keep it($$$$$$) all or use robots to get the job done they would.
Those players by and large are heroes - they play a brutal game and pay a steep price but being left alone with little or no pension or health insurance after a few years for their sacrifice is barbaric . I do not cry when racing car drivers die(sad as it is) as they alone chose to pursue that path and with the crippled up players I think the also realize the outcome could be dire at any given moment but that is no reason to have the employer completely divorce themselves of longterm responsiblities for managing that consequence . The sample size is miniscule compared to the revenues generated and the owners and league were even profiting from the brutality until halfway through last season when the pulled the biggest hits
collection off of the websites when people called the league on its hypocrisy
Tim Hasslebeck inferred one of the primary reasons the owners do not want the books opened is then the public will find out about all the idiot grandsons on the payroll at ridiculous salaries as wel as corporate avarice run amok .
Goodell should go and if the players do take it to court I hope that is one of the conditions they say must be adhered to is ........ HE MUST GO !!!!!!!!! or at least have his far reaching unbridled power reigned in greatly.

one last wagering hint
when the COLTS play carolina bet the over and lay the points because if ol rocky dennis the QB can score 80 against the panthers after the owner showed him up in front of his peers I say he will

I agree completely The colts are the preeminent regular season organization in the NFL & have been for over a decade . The only real question about the Colts is to whom Reggie Wayne & the Offensive Line will toss the errant game losing season destroying post season throw to this season .
I feel like the Saints with all the partying / book tours / oprah interviews will be lucky to even make the post season at all. Another Colts kryptonite the SDCHARGERS are in big trouble as the GM of that franchise is drunkenly slaloming icebergs in the titanic w/ the contract hardball he is tossing about. The Tapriots another former Colts nemesis have tarnished their own legacy thru their cheating coaches massive arrogance and their once ultra cool qb having lost his once unrivaled pocket calm -sidebar course we should have seen that coming once he started randomly knocking women up with regularity that he had lost his ultra calm persona .
No that was a bit longwinded I guess but I suppose Reggie Wayne ( he of the LEGENDARY PREPARATION & unmatched on field genius) should start sifting through the cowboys, steelers ,packers, ravens, falcons or vikings secondary players dossier to find out which one he will choose to make a hero this season

post notes I simply substituted the scapegoats for PEYCHECK that I heard about after his upteenth post season gagfest
Posted Wednesday July 14, 2010, About: Quinn a true threat to start?
he exposed little billy the genius as a cheater who needed a crutch to "outcoach" all of his peers . Incidently the same little billy who has won only 2 playoff games since he got caught rolling tape in the game . Not to mention consistenetly getting out coached by the colts coaches even jim caldwell who seemingly is 1/2 asleep during games
The supposed coaching genius who has been grossly outcoached by tom coughlin and john harbaugh his last two postseason tilts. Time is starting to expose little billy as a poor drafter now he does a good job grifting away lots of picks from **** like al davis or john fox but then he picks bust after bust . But the media never mentions it as they still famn over the coach from many years ago.
That seems like some major exposure to me .
