Posted Monday November 16, 2009, About: Will Pats fans forgive Belichick gaffe?
Gunna have to agree with belichick on this one, theres alot of people disagreeing with the call that he made, they did after all, lose the game. however, take into consideration the position the patriots were in.

4th and 2 on the 28 yard line, if successful, the play gets you the 2 minute warning with the colts having only 1 timeout left, which they would have had to burn immediately following the next play.

punting the on the 28 yard line would put the colts AT BEST 40-50 yards, from the spot they punted it from, and thats assuming they dont return it at all for yardage.

i keep hearing about how the defense wasent given an opportunity, of course they were, the colts still needed to a touchdown to win the game, granted they were closer than they would have been if you punted, but that whole quarter, peyton manning showed that he could carve up the patriots defense.

Belichick had 2 options.

A. Punt the ball and make peyton manning have to get a couple easy yards over the middle (because the sidelines are covered) and end up relatively close to where they punted from soon anyway sans a couple more seconds.

B. Keep control of the ball and try to end the game with it in your possession, frankly, if they make that 4th and 2nd first down, it leaves the colts with about 40 seconds with no timeouts to get down field after you would punt, AT WORST, thats if you cant convert another first down.

how are the patriots going to make room on the roster for the 5ish guys they have signed in free agency and the 8+ more they are going to add in the draft.

idiot.
Posted Saturday January 31, 2009, About: Warner still wonders if Patriots spied
were attacking warner because hes still butt hurt over losing the rams superbowl against the pats and he isnt even bringing relevant facts to the arguement.

i swear to god all of these jealous teams are going to be talking about spygate for the next 20 years. the patriots went 18-1 without spying, spying isnt going to play the game for you on the field.

the rams got beat on the field, and the cardinals are going to get beat on the field too if he doesn't stop wasting time back in 2001.
Posted Saturday January 31, 2009, About: Warner still wonders if Patriots spied
Warner should be thanking the patriots for destroying his team when it didnt count and making his team refocus, hes talking about a superbowl that happened 8 years ago and the only reason that that superbowl came up is because matt walsh a proven fraud suggested the patriots 'taped the practice walkthough', it had almost nothing to do with spygate.

why is warner bringing up a superbowl 8 years ago instead of focusing on this one? i still hope the cardinals win, but i hope the steelers wreck kurt warners face.
Posted Saturday January 31, 2009, About: Why Patriots won't franchise Cassel
whenever a player is traded, they are able to renegotiate contracts, cassel would likely be making 8 million a year for 4-6 years. again, do you take a chance drafting a QB with absolutely no NFL experience or do you go with cassel who has been mentored by tom brady and josh mcdaniel's since he came out of college?

the lions who are looking at a complete team revamp anyway, would be able to fit 8 million per year into their cap easily.
Posted Saturday January 31, 2009, About: Why Patriots won't franchise Cassel
let me ask you this, would it be more advantageous for the lions to draft a quarterback who hasn't proven himself or trade for a QB that has.

the lions, who have 2 first round draft picks this year (their own number 1 overall and the cowboy's) and would likely be willing to trade one of them for cassel as well as their third round draft pick.

this gives the lions a QB who is proven and also allows them to use their other pick to improve another broken part of their team.

Besides the lions, there are other teams as well who would be willing to give up something to the patriots in exchange for cassel, teams without a stable QB situation like the vikings. there are plenty of teams who would love having a QB like cassel.
Posted Friday January 30, 2009, About: Why Patriots won't franchise Cassel
The Patriots can tag cassel and trade him and wont end up with the tab, its a way they will be able to control cassel without paying for him. its absolutely insanity to think they will franchise cassel and remain with 2 quarterbacks, cassel isnt going to carry brady's chipboard and be paid more than brady will be paid to do it. (yup, franchising cassel gives cassel more money than brady will recieve in 2009)

if brady cant go before the season starts, hes going to be the one on the trading block, not cassel, they probably will be able to work out a longterm deal with cassel if this is the case.

the patriots simply cannot afford to pay tom brady 14 million dollers to ride the bench for another season.

i know tom brady is a legend in new england and i want him back just as bad as everyone else does, but you simply cannot continue to sacrifice your season for 1 player, even if that player is the best player in the league.

i totally agree that manny deserves to be treated like a dog, but had he not taken boras advice and played like he did for the dodgers, he would have gotten his money and the red sox wouldent be looking like their going to have an offensive shortage going into 09'.

i dont think people realize how bad boras has royally screwed the sox, if i was theo right now, im about ready to completely cut ties with all future boras agents and let everyone know how much of a prick boras is,

let the yankees bid against the low budget teams from now on, the red sox get all their stars from their farm system anyway.
Posted Tuesday January 20, 2009, About: Cowboys interested in Ray Lewis
i hate the cowboys, but mostly i hate jerry jones because he treats the nfl like its fantasy football.

DEAR JERRY: you are not the patriots, you arent going to bring in players like T.O. and Pacman jones and be able to successfully salvage them like randy moss.
Posted Tuesday January 20, 2009, About: Mistake may cost Varitek millions
i hope the baseball world is beginning to see what boras really is. if boras wanted to, he could have had teixera sign with the sox which would give the sox a big enough offensive boost to resign varitek, the yankees would have had to get manny to take teixera's place and almost every one of boras clients would be raking int he dough, instead, manny is looking like he is going to end up getting as much or less than would he would have gotten if he stayed with the rox and varitek took boras advice to reject arbitration and now it could cost him millions.

Boras only cares about one client per offseason, whoever can make the biggest splash, he isnt a very bright person to leave so much of the red sox money still on the table when they would have probably played more than any other free agent for teixera in the end.

manny and varitek are going to lose money thx to boras being an idiot.
Posted Tuesday January 20, 2009, About: Cowboys interested in Ray Lewis
Ray Lewis is the undisputed leader of the defense for the ravens, without rex ryan, the ravens are going to need ray lewis to continue their defensive intensity, lets face it, the baltimore offense is going to need alot more time to develop, if the raven's defense takes a plunge, they could be a 5-11 team again.
Posted Tuesday January 20, 2009, About: Cowboys interested in Ray Lewis
i really hope this doesnt happen, ray lewis is the face of the Baltimore ravens and hes been a raven forever, i hope the ravens are able to make him a respectable offer, if he went to a garbage team like the cowboys it would be a crushing blow to the spirit of the Baltimore defense.
Posted Tuesday January 20, 2009, About: Mistake may cost Varitek millions
very good chance that varitek comes back, but the question is how do you get him to come back without him looking like a fool.

it is clear that the sox could probably sign varitek to under 5 million per year at this point because there appears to be no interest in him at all besides boston, the best bet would be to sign him for 3 years equaling to slightly more than what he would have made if he accepted arbitration, say, 12-14 million range for 3 years, this way the red sox retain their catcher for now and have him to catch backup and mentor whoever the red sox eventually get to replace him.

Posted Thursday December 25, 2008, About: Why Dodgers may end up with Manny
if im boston right now, im pretty close to banning all future deals with boras. including varitek.
Posted Thursday December 25, 2008, About: Why Dodgers may end up with Manny
boras screwed manny, boras told manny how to get out of boston and it landed him on the dodgers whether he thought he would play incredibly and get paid huge.

what happened when the offseason comes? well boras hasent put any effort at all into manny because hes been too busy to teixeria and whats worse! boras has just sold teixeria to new york which would have been the perfect landing spot for manny.

now the yankees arent going to need manny and hes going to be stuck with a worse deal than he would have gotten if he didnt listen to boras and stayed in boston.

the dodgers have withdrawn their previous offer to manny because they couldent afford it, its looking more and more like manny is going to end up getting a really bad deal, and its all thanks to boras for not settling with the sox brass on teix when they went down to texas.
Posted Tuesday December 23, 2008, About: Report: Nats up Teixeira offer
Nobody knows what teixeiera wants and thats all part of the boras fun.

as clear it would be to come people that he would want to contend with a winner every year and sign with the red sox, it makes just as much sense if he wanted to go to a team with no real star and become the face of the franchise, others seem to think he will just sign with whatever team offers him a couple more bucks with a free bus pass.

we dont know what he wants, the only thing we know for certain is that hes a boras client and hes going to get more expensive before he gets cheaper.

the real loser in all of this is boras's other clients who might as well be in the dog house so far. until teixeira signs with SOMEONE, they are being treated like a bunch of bums.
Posted Tuesday December 23, 2008, About: Report: Nats up Teixeira offer
come to think of it, the only way the nats can win this is by going more years than bostan, they should just get it over with an match the red sox current deal +1 year.
Posted Tuesday December 23, 2008, About: Yankees deny Teixeira, Ramirez offers
once teixeria gets off the table, expect manny to get some pretty beefy short term contract offers. (54 million for for 2, 80 for 3 ect)
Posted Tuesday December 23, 2008, About: Red Sox eyeing Mauer in 2011
expect this guy being in a red sox uniform in 2011, with the way things are going, the red sox are going to be able to re-sign varitek on their terms which will allow them to patch up their catching until they can pick up this guy.
