I don't know about everyone else but the Buffalo wild wings 5 minutes away from my house holds UFC fights for no cover, in both the bar and the regular sections of the place. We used to have 2 placed that did this in my town, I'm sure if you looked hard enough a local sports bar/restaurant is doing this, or would be willing to do this.

HA that is the only reason I came up with the Ford, Dunleavy, and Rush for Melo.....trying to find a way to put him in Indiana.

I doubt that you would get either from Indiana, maybe for Granger but that would be a huge cost increase for Indiana and while he is a better player I don't think Melo is twice the player Granger is (which is close to what his contract would be after an extension). Expiring contracts plus Rush and a draft pick or 2 would really be the only option, unless they can get George away from us, or if Bird likes George as much as Granger maybe you could get granger and put George at the 2 like I've heard of them talking about doing in the first place......I highly doubt he would sign that extension if they got rid of collison.....ahe is looking for someone to contend with the heat he or granger would play the 2 and give them firepower to contend with Collison and Hibbert being really good complimentary pieces. Like I said before it is a delicate situation, if Denver asks too much for him it will cripple the team and he will not sign the extension and "ok" the trade leaving them with nothing.

Still no matter how good of an offer they get, Melo has to ok it....It's like having a trade clause almost. If a team gives away too much do you think he will sign and trade to a team that just crippled itself getting him? He will want to go to a team that he can contend with......so you right now are looking at only a few teams with the resources to get him, plus still have a good enough team to make him happy. It is a very delicate situation and Melo right now holds all the cards by having the option to just not sign an extension, and leave via free agency to go where ever he wants if he doesn't like the team or what is left on the team after the trade.

And you actually think you will get one of the top young big men for a wing? You can get a quality wing a dime a dozen in the NBA......a talented true center who under 25 and able to be the center piece of a team is virtually impossible to find.

I was just putting that out there as a wish for dunleavy rush and ford plus some first rounders....never said that it would happen, just wishful thinking. The Nuggets still have to convince Melo to sign before they trade him, so their trade options are limited to where he wants to go, so they may not get the best in return for him, and may just have to take what they can get from the list of teams he is willing to go to. If not he seems to have no problems just leaving as a free agent.

Melo could work at the 2 as well. I have also heard talk of Granger playing some 4 against smaller teams.

Granger with his shooting ability and all around skill set both could easily play the 2.....it could work.

There aren't too many teams that would give up their top 2 players.......maybe 2 starters but not their 2 best players, unless like in the KG and Allen scenario they are both old. No team will sacrifice their top 2 players to get one star and most likely worse in the deal. You couldn't get Deron Williams and brook Lopez let alone any team's best 2 players in their prime.
