Posted Monday November 07, 2011, About: Can Paterno survive Penn State scandal?
In the late 60s it was found that NC State University gave a female student that was dating a football player a scholarship and free dorm room. The University lost post season eligibility over that. So, even though it gave no competitive edge and was not a recruiting infraction the NCAA still held that it was improper conduct tied to the Athletics department. May be the same type of situation for this case.
