Posted Wednesday December 14, 2011, About: Pujols' wife blasts Cards
If 5 years/$130 million is an insult, you can insult me anytime. Pujols and his apparant gold-digging wife are showing their true colors. As someone who is in St. Louis and has been a lifelong Cardinal fan, I have seen the change in Pujols over time (not for the better). It is amazing how less humble you become as the money and prestige roll in. Nobody faults Pujols for taking the money, but STOP being a phony and saying it isn't/wasn't about the money and you want to retire a Cardinal when anybody with a functioning brain knows it is ALWAYS about the money. St. Louis actually made a smart BUSINESS decision so as to not hamstring the organization for years to come because let me tell you, if Pujols is still putting up numbers indicative to a $25 million player 5+ years from now, I would check him for PEDs because history would indicate such.
Posted Friday October 08, 2010, About: Rasmus on the move from St. Louis?
I am a huge Cards fan and have lived here all my life and root for the team just as you do. I hope Rasmus doesn't go anywhere, but lets look at this for a second. Rolen got traded because he called out Pujols for not hustling which didn't set well with "TLR". Also, Mozeliak is one of the worst GMs. Lets see...he way overpaid for a 5th starter (Lohse) based upon only one good year in his entire career when nobody else would have paid that much for him, he way overpaid for Holliday and had the Cardinals bidding against themselves when getting that deal done, not to mention that he traded away a silver slugger in Ludwick who should have been an everyday player (see "TLR" for that one) for a 4th starter at best (that we most likely will not sign anyway based upon his $11mil per) when the offense was the problem the whole year and pitching was not. As much as I want to see the Cardinals succeed...I don't see it.
