Nascar needs to get it nose off manufacturing, all the rules and restrictions have made Nascar the WWE of racing, a complete joke. From the extremelly outdated technology that they allowed to the more obvious ways of controlling the outcome of races. If you guys pay attention everytime the field gets spreadout, somebody got a dominant car, or one of the big names (Earnhardt, Stewart, Gordon, etc. etc.) is getting ready to get lap a misterious flag goes out for debris. That is no racing that is a show, no different that the one the WWE give us. If you want to see state of the art machines handled by the best drivers in the world with a regulating body that allows the strongest to prevail watch Formula 1.

I have never seem so much ignorance like I see in this posts. Saying that the NFL owners are racist because they don't give Vick a spot on their rosters is crazy. NFL owners are about winning games and making money, it seems that there is nobody out there that thinks Vick can do that, I mean who would Vick replace? As far as I know the Vikings are in need of a reliable QB to make it to the next level and they happen to have a black QB so that throws the race issue out the window. It seems that you guys forgot that Vick was the highest paid player in the league when he got caught, not to racist to me. The bottom line we all make mistakes and got to handle the results from them. He'll may never get another chance to play in the NFL or he may, either way it was his own doing that got him to this point. From highest paid to highly ignored.

Me as an employee "engineer" in the department of defense live in a position where a crime like the one he did will get me fired and pretty much end my chances of being succesful, why should it being any different for him?

The difference between USC and other schools that self report the violations is simple. They just say prove it if you can, the other schools say here is what happen go easy on me. It's like somebody waving over a police officer to tell them that there were speeding and expect not to get a ticket.
