Comes clean my a**.. He said an assitant filled it out and he didn't know about it until after it was released. He was the only coach to completely make a fool of himself at Media Days. Kiffin was incredibly great.

Think about it from a marketing standpoint. Nike wants the best players wearing Nike and they want as many schools as possible using Nike. The best way to do both is to get the best players to go to "Nike schools." This not only ensures the players will wear Nike, but also encourages non-Nike schools to switch to Nike to have a better shot at getting top recruits. The best way to get a high school kid like "J. Smoove" to change his mind is to make him think he'll somehow make more money. But, the truth is, he can't legally make anything in endorsements until he turns pro. If he's good enough at that level, he'll get a Nike contract regardless of what he wore in college, and vice versa if he turns out to be a bust.
