To WestHalls'68, I agree at this point PSU does not deserve to go to the NCG, but hey ...last year neither OSU nor LSU deserved to compete for NC (USC and Georgia were the proper choice). All I am saying is that gods might return the favor to PSU (given so many undefeated seasons with no NC title) ... It is not s science fiction, if UF looses to FSU and then wipes Bama in the SEC championship game - PSU and USC are pretty much in the mix for the NCG. Big 12 is irelevant - even if TTU wins out , I do not think you can put two Big 12 South teams into the NCG .... that is simply unacceptable, how do we know whether these teams (TTU, UT, OU) are legit contenders ??? They have not played against good non-conference defenses all season long, so I do not believe the polsters would simply vote for TTU-UT rematch (remember 2006-OSU-UM, remember the big blunders by OU and Nebraska when they went to the NCG(without being Big 12 champions) and got wiped out). Plus if Oregon Stae wins out, then how do you put USC in the NCG when they are not even a PAC10 champion???
Again, I agree PSU does not deserve the NCG, but at the end of the season they might end up there.

ha-ha , guys, PSU is still pretty much in the mix for the NCG, I agree PSU chances are now minimal, but hey who knows. Remember 2007??? Plus Big 12 teams will kill each other, so I do not see how a 2 loss Big 12 champion(if Mizzou wins Big 12) can go to the NCG in front of 1 loss USC or 1 loss PSU? SEC champion might be a 2 loss Florida team as well (Florida plays FSU in Tallahassee!). So again, if Mizzou wins the Big 12 championship game and Florida beats Bama ....PSU might end up in the NCG. It is way too early to talk about the final BCS standing ... plus PSU has fallen only to #7(or 8) in the rankings.
