ND should immediately fire Weiss and hire Sylvester Croom. He is a great coach with obvious class, who stepped down to let the school make changes. He was SEC Coach of the Year last year with the smallest budget of any school in the conference and still overcoming draconian sanctions by the NCAA be his predecessor.

Give Croom the budget and recruiting clout of ND and he'll turn that team into instant winners.

I would not want to be the SEC 4th place team coming in and playing either Texas, Oklahoma or Texas Tech in The Cotton Bowl. Ouch!

If the SEC champ goes to the NC, the other probably goes to the Sugar, then runner up in the East Georgia and probable runner-up in the west, LSU, will vie for a Capital One slot (likely GA, so that leaves LSU in the Cotton. Maybe it's going to be a rematch of the 2003 CB between LSU and Texas.

The real defining moment for Lee was when he had a 3rd down play in the 3rd quarter and ran wide right on an out pass play, but the Bama defense had opened up a HUGE hole for him to run through. Lee could have EASILY ran for a first down, but he didn't have the instinct to take advantage of the silver plated opening and instead, stopped and tossed the ball in the kinda, sorta general vicinity of his receiver, which was, as many of his passes were, not even close.

That deer caught in a headlight look will not win games. If he's afraid to run the ball when an opening as large as Moses parting the Red Sea opens up in front of him, then he is not the one to lead LSU to the promised land.

Hopefully, Jefferson and incoming super-prep Russell Shepherd will push Lee in spring training to the bench. Lee has regressed woefully this season, thrown a record 6 pick-sixes and is as unpopular a player at LSU as I've ever seen. It's so bad that the admins over at Tigerdroppings.com, the super LSU fan site, have started kicking fans off the site for being a bit too vociferous in their rantings about Lee. Too bad, but truth is, Lee is 95% of the reason LSU lost last night and to Georgia.
