South Carolina an academic advantage over Carolina now that is funny. But, you can be sure he delivered it with a straight face. Wonder if he addressed continuing losing to in state rival Clemson. He might want to cover that base if he doesn't want his superiority sell to draw laughter for football or academics.

Ok the Stars made a mistake so buy him out. It does look like the league office is working with the team ownership against the player because the words in question seem to fall short of suspension. If this becomes a standard then players need to simply stop talking to the media on game days. Then again the suspension reminded many people that the NHL is still out there somewhere.

Botched 4 hirings in a row why would they get the Weis exit right. There are plenty of recruits that will believe ND will return to glory even if it is fifteen years and counting with that last two poor even with a no glory year schedule. Kind of sad that ND can not see the obvious.

Detroit bilked the rest of the country before they had competition. They have spend 30 years in decline while making decisions to keep the current time as good as it can be while ruining the future. Thus trying to get their long time political partners to start a new era of making the rest of the country pay their bills. If we get Change We Can Count on rather than politics as usual Detroit fails and the team might actually leave. But don't worry Detroit it looks like what we can count on is politics as usual and more jobs to Mexico and Canada and the Big 3 keeps going with taxpayer money.

Any quarterback can win with Patriots is funny particularly how may times Grossman has been mentioned. Most would not survive coach BB demands for excellence.

Cassel gets better by the week on the field. There are more teams than Minn that should consider signing Cassel, Charlotte is another good team that needs a quarterback. Perhaps it is Cassel that should avoid Childress and Minn rather than Minn avoid Cassel.

ND is playing an increasing weaker schedule (who they play and who is down) and not beating anyone of note. The wait till next year recruit story is all ND can sell. This evades the reality that Weis is not developing players. How long do you give the never been a head a coach to learn how to be a head coach? How many of your student athletes and fans get short changed while you the ND administration continues to search for some sign that Weis might someday be a even a better than average head coach? ND acted appropriately and decisively with Willingham, the only difference hear is that it is more expensive and you are now looking for an AD and a head football coach.
