1. Pau (4) + Butler (3) + someone else that we don't know (2)
would not equal a Package of;
2. Boozer (4) + Deng (3) + Butler (2).
People are wanting to amnesty Boozer pretty much for the sake of amnestying Boozer. If you amnesty Boozer.....he HAS to be replaced by a comperable talent. Face it.....there ain't many of them out there.
If you trade Deng, he also HAS to be replaced with a comperable talent. Again.....not much to choose from.
If you amnesty Boozer AND trade Deng, you're gonna have to replace BOTH with comperable talent.
Whoever the Bulls bring in at the '2' (assuming Butler at the '3') would have to be a better combination with Butler versus the combination of Deng & Butler. There are no free agents out there to do that.....and the Bulls don't otherwise have the pieces to trade for that talent if Boozer is amnestied.
From what I see, and barring some very strange set of events occurring, the best scenario for the Bulls at this time is to go with a starting 5 of Rose, Butler, Deng, Boozer and Noah.
And the only trade that makes sense for the Bulls is the one I surmised two years ago.....Boozer (a mostly perimeter offensive '4') for Pau (a mostly interior offensive '4'). Given the centers that the Bulls and Lakers currently have, this is a move that would benefit both teams. The Bulls would have a bonifide low post scorer and the Lakers open up the low post for Howard with a '4' capable of hitting the 12' to 16' jumper.

1. Amnesty Boozer, why? Over the past two seasons, Boozer has played in 145 of 147 games (most of ANY Bull player).....and averaged 16.2 pts and 9.8 boards per game this past season. He has two seasons left in his contract. Now's not the time to amnesty Boozer.....and if they did, who's out there to replace him with who's better?
2. "TRY a buy-out" for Hamilton? How out of touch are you? The Bulls don't have to TRY to buy-out Hamilton because 2013/14 is a team option year. All they have to do is simply waive him.
Next Season, barring resignees.....Hamiton is gone, Bellinari gone, Mohammed gone, Radmanovic gone, Robinson gone, Cook gone.
Of these.....bring back Robinson, Belinelli on two year contracts, and one year for Mohammed....start Butler at SG....oh year.....buy out the final year of Hinrich's two year contract.....and go after a 'mid-level SF like a Josh Childress.
And at the end of the day, if they're over the salary cap.....so dog-gone what? Reinsdorf can afford it!
That's not a coach's issue, that's a player issue. They shouldn't have known, even in grade school, when a quick penetrating ball handler (who just waived off a pick) is guarded by a bigger/slower defender, that ball handler is takin' it to the rack.
Every other Heat player on the court read that wrong.....when they should've know that for years. I mean.....seriously.
Even my 15 year-old son had a W-T-F moment on that play.
Oh please......that's so ridiculous. No team EVER needs a loss.
Teams need a win.....every time out. And if a team 'wins out' of a series or tournament undefeated, no one is gonna jump up and say......"yeah, but its too bad they didn't lose; they'd have been so much better if they had".....
Active, Reserve or NG? In any case......THANKS!!
And for those of you who don't know.....Taste of Chicago = the week of the 4th of July.....great food.....free concerts.....on the lakefront.....nearby sights and museums.....just a great time!!

Anyway.....that's old news. The question is; 'what to do going forward'?

Jus' sayin'......
But being the small person that you are, Finkleteiner.....I can see where you will always try to divert culpability.

Not a smart move, IMO.

See? Sounds pretty dumb, don't it?
