He is humble and I know first hand since I know him . . . Irvin and Deion were good players who had an impact on the game of football . . . he is smart for asking their advice.
Posted Tuesday January 06, 2009, About: Crabtree seeing specialist for ankle injury
He is only a sophomore and is damaged goods. I will contend he actually got hurt during the A&M game on a kick-off return . . . the high ankle sprain happened to be on that same ankle. he was NEVER the same after the A&M game.

I have said this many times -- Mike Leach is concerned about the players graduating from college since they are student athletes. Crabtree is talented, but he is one hit in the NFL away from being another uneducated former athlete.
Posted Tuesday January 06, 2009, About: Scouts: Tebow an NFL star--or a bust
Fact: One never knows how good a pro football player one is going to be until the prospect puts on the pads for a professional team. Tebow may be the next Staubach for all anyone knows. So, I don't get into these type articles to much.
Posted Monday January 05, 2009, About: Mack Brown: BCS still needs work
In the end, OU got to go . . . nothing any of us can do about it except scream for a true playoff like DII and DII have . . .
Posted Monday January 05, 2009, About: Mack Brown: BCS still needs work
If Utah does not win the AP at least (since the BCS "championship" is tied to the computer manipulated 2nd place game that will be on 8 January) then this thing is really broken. I preferred the old days when an undefeated BYU (yuck, I know) could beat a "down" Michigan tea in the Holiday Bowl and be crowned National Champion -- at least EVERYONE has a flipping chance. Heck, Utah was not even in the top 25 at the beginning of the year -- BYU was. And guess what, Utah DESTROYED BYU. They also beat the team that beat USC. And they DESTROYED Alabama. They did it and they deserve it. One undefeated season may be considered a fluke. Two in 4-years . . . no way.

I agree.
Posted Monday January 05, 2009, About: Mack Brown: BCS still needs work
That their season was not a "fluke" for starters? I don't know you, but your reasoning is flawed. Geez. They had EVERYTHING to lose by losing to a Utah team that is supposedly from a "mid-tier" conference. That's the problem with the BCS, they call the have's (i.e. lots oif money) BCS teams and the have nots (the not so rich schools like Boise State, Utah, etc.) mid-tiers.

That their season was not a fluke for starters???????
Posted Monday January 05, 2009, About: Mack Brown: BCS still needs work
Utah is undefeated and, in my mind, proved themselves against Alabama. They are number one. So, the OU v UF game is for some computer ranked championship.
Posted Monday January 05, 2009, About: Sooners CB slights Tebow
Makes no difference who wins this game . . . Utah is number one. After what they did to Alabama, this game is just for some funky computer polling system championship.
Posted Wednesday December 31, 2008, About: Lions given OK to talk to Cowboys' Garrett
If Jason goes to Detroit then he gets what he deserves.
Posted Wednesday December 31, 2008, About: Terrell Davis calls T.O. 'a cancer'
TO has 4 SB rings? With who?

He did a great job in the Philly SB.

He is not the problem in Dallas. Sorry, when you have the weapons Dallas has, it is the Offensive Coordinators job to scheme the offense to get the ball to them and the Head Coaches job to focus them with discipline. Wade and Jason failed.
Posted Monday December 29, 2008, About: T.O. backs Romo, offers Cowboys owner advice
Owens is not the problem . . . the Cowboys quit yesterday . . . that's a problem -- that's a coaching problem. Jerry Jones needs to swallow his dumbfounded pride and realize that to win they need a coach like Jimmy Johnson or Bill Cowher and then he needs to get out of the way. Barry Switzer winning one SB with Dallas was a freak of nature called the triplets. I cannot understand how Dallas can have TO, Whitten, Roy Williams, Miles Austin, etc and not be able to get the ball into their hands. Is the offensive scheme hosed?
Posted Monday December 22, 2008, About: Michigan commitment switching to Tulsa
The bleeding continues at Michigan. So sad.
Posted Monday December 22, 2008, About: Giants coach linked to Army job
Army needs a Coach who instills discipline and the desire to run the ball. Army is not going to get the recruits that a bigger school without a military comittment will enjoy.

Heck, I want out of Notre Dame and I have never even visited there . . .
Posted Monday December 15, 2008, About: Why Bradford might turn pro
Well, if either of them are Arena League bound it won't be this year.

Bradford is not that good -- i.e. to go pro. Sorry, he's just not. If he goes to Detroit for example, how long you gonna give him to last? If he goes to a good team in need of a QB, how long until he sees the field?
Posted Monday December 15, 2008, About: Will Redskins fire Zorn?
Sure they will . . . who's gonna stop them?
Posted Monday December 15, 2008, About: Heisman loss motivates Tebow, Gators
What? The person said that if Harrell had the talent around him that Tebow does and even went to Florida then he would have won the Heisman. I don't think he said anything about how much better Florida would be with Harrell as QB.

There are certain "media darling" schools -- Notre Dame (heck, they had their own major TV Network); Florida (thanks to Spurrier getting them on the map); Texas; Oklahoma; USC; Ohio State to name a few. Heck, they could graduate all of their Junior and Seniors and still be ranked in the Top 10 and have a Heisman Candidate to boot just because the media adore them for some reason. I fall back again to Tebow getting more votes than Darren McFadden last year. Come on! Without McFadden Arkansas sinks (their QB stunk). He was the best player in the nation. But, he went to Arkansas.
Posted Monday December 15, 2008, About: Heisman loss motivates Tebow, Gators
You just don't get it gator . . . but you will this year if OU shows up in top notch form against your sytem QB . . . the Urban Meyer sytem.
