You are not very smart are you? Petey gambled on his own team. You do NOT do that. Do you NOT understand all the possible ramifications of his actions? The potential to get into gambling debt? The potential to throw games to avoid getting your as_ beat by the people you owe money to? On and on and on. I loved Pete Rose but I'm sorry. What he did is a far greater offense than taking steroids to enhance one's performance.

Someone with some sense. I can't believe it when I hear people saying that professional athletes should be role models for our children. Some people are just brain dead. You're right. The parents should be role models. The teachers. Even police and firemen. But professional athletes! What on earth do they do that should be considered examples to our children? They play kid's games for millions of dollars. It is entertainment pure and simple.

If you eliminated all the players associated with PED's from the All Star game neither league would be able to field a team. Manny may have done the "crime" but he's also one of the few who actually "did the time." And guess what? His time is up before the All Star game. If he gets voted in he should be allowed to play.
