I mean its the Yankees were talking about, If burnett gets hurt, they move on and add another pitcher, you people act like if he gets hurt the yanks are stuck waiting out his contract!!! no he gets hurt they act like he's not on the team and go find another pitcher!!! second thing is, I hate the way the media throws that 240 million on pitching number around, when in actuality as of right now they have a lower payroll than last year!!! I would rather pay CC 23 million bucks over Giambi, and I would rather pay AJ 16 mil. over Pettitte or Abreu

I'm with you on this one, I didn't want him either and I am a yankee fan as well, Bottom line is that why would the yanks still even want him, he obviously soen't want to come to NY, why bring a player here who doesn't want to be here???

This is a great day for yankees fan as far as Im concerned, lets look back to 01 for a second, Giambi was the big catch in Free Agency, the MVP the .330 averages, then he came to New York, and it was down hill from there, world Series Apperance, and several .250 averages seasons later I couldn't wait to get him out of here. I see this happening to Tex as well, he is young, I will give you that but,in a few years the long loopy swing will begin to slow down, and he will consistantly get worse over his 7 or 8 year contract!!!! Go for it BOSTON
