Posted Wednesday March 26, 2014, About: Dysfunction may get Jackson fired
You live by the long ball in the regular season, in the playoffs you die by the long ball. Mark Jackson is not in line for any head coaching job until he proves he can coach. Phil Jackson might look dumb but he's not dumb enough to hire Mark. The Knicks new coach should be Lionel Hollins or George Karl. By the way Nugget fans it won't be Brian Shaw. He next assignment should be the D-league
Posted Wednesday March 26, 2014, About: What is OKC doing with Westbrook?
The problem with Westbrook is his coach. This team will not win the west and better hope they don't see the Mavs or Suns in the first round of the playoffs.
Posted Monday March 24, 2014, About: Miller's unique theory on ugly Denver departure
Worst thing to happen to the Nuggets is the firing of George Karl and the hiring of Brian Shaw as their head coach. Andre Miller is a class act and a season veteran and Shaw should have embraced that and used it to his advantage. Instead he chose to do the opposite and that's why Denver is going down in a competitive western conference while other teams are going up. Brian Shaw is the wrong choice to coach the Nuggets. A team that made the playoffs under Karl.

Sports fans that know basketball know that college basketball is about the coaches. It's a coaching game and system. The NBA allows players like Parker and Wiggins to play wide open basketball. It's one on one. How many points a game did Jordan score when he was at North Carolina ? In the NBAyou put the basketball in your best players hands and get out of the way. Totally different from the college game. Calipari is a good college coach but he was not a good NBA coach two different games. Parker and Wiggins will be good NBA players.

You mean for once he'll have to prove he can really coach. How many ready made championships has he had, 8. Now let me see Phil couldn't win a championship with Pippen as his only superstar, my bad Pippen was only a star when he had Jordan as a sidekick. If he takes the job it will only be for the money he can't win with just Melo.
Posted Wednesday March 05, 2014, About: LeBron returns to MVP debate
It's LeBron's MVP to lose. He in no way is trailing KD for the MVP trophy. This guy does more for his team than any player in the league. KD is no LeBron James. I'm sick and tired of Jordan and now Dominic Wilkins is taking cheap shots at LeBron. You don't hear Magic, Bird, Shaq, or Barkley taking shots at him. Niq had the nerve to discredit his scoring 61 against the Bobcats the other night. It's not like he scored them against the worst team in the NBA. The Bobcats with the addition of Al Jefferson have improved considerably from last year. So give the man King James credit for what he did in the absence of D-.Wade. I guess Dominic will find fault in Wilt Chamberlain against when he scored 100 points in a game. What I do have a problem with is the Mt. Rushmore of the NBA talk excluding the greatest player to ever lace them up Wilt Chamberlain. Speaking of scoring sports fans Wilt scored 60 points 30 times in his career the next closest is Kobe with doing it 5 times. You hear that MJ the so-called greatest of all time yet you only scored 60 points in a game 4 times in your career in a watered down league. Dominic you never scored 60 so keep your trap shut when it comes to your criticism of LeBron.

I totally agree. Rose didn't deserve to win it but he was the media darling at the time. Now media guys like Steven A. Smith is pushing for Durant and we know Durant is no King.
Posted Friday February 28, 2014, About: Clippers to sign Danny Granger
Go Clippers !
Posted Thursday February 27, 2014, About: Frontrunners to land Granger
Granger must go to a team that is youthful and likes to get up and down the court. He will not be a starter on the Spurs aging team. But if he goes to the Clippers and regain some of his former skills he could start at the 3 spot, but that's a big if. Should he land in Doc Rivers hands the Clippers will be the team to beat. It will all depend on how fast he learns Doc's system and fits in with the team. He only has 22 games to fit in where ever he goes. Granger lives in LA and is friends with Chris Paul the voice and leader of the Clippers. Look for Granger to sign with the Clippers and they will become the favorite to win the west. Glen Davis aka " Big Baby " is going to play a huge roll in the paint because of his experience, size, and power. Granger would be the icing on the Western Conference title cake for LAC.

yeah Big Baby Bryant ran Shaq and Howard out of LA. But Shaq did win another ring without BBB and will have a more successful career than BBB when he retires from the Lakers. His wheels have gone bad and his playing days are almost over. Let's see how many offers he will get from ESPN, TNT, and NBAtv. Kobe "Big Baby" Bryant is done !

Shaq won three rings with the Lakers. Dwight couldn't stand Kobe and neither did Shaq but they got along for the good of the team and three rings. Big Baby won a ring with Boston. Coaching is important when it comes to winning and uniting a team. Phil and Riley know how to coach super stars because they have the rings to prove it. Mike De Antoni I don't blame Dwight.

You may be right I hadn't looked at it like that, good point. It seems to get Blake in more foul trouble than it does against them. Zach Randolph is going to play physical and still get 20 and 10. But the rest Bogut and Ibaka are not offensive worry's, just physical brutes aimed at getting Blake off his game, in foul trouble, or thrown out of the game. The Clippers would be losing an all star player and they only journeymen. I would rather see Blake punish them by scoring , rebounding and playing solid defense and not playing with their heads,

Granger would be a great pick up because now he's pissed and has something to prove to Indiana for getting rid of him. Pull the trigger on these deals for Big Baby, Big Earl, and Granger. Surely they can afford two of the three or all three if you dump Hedo.

I agree to disagree with you and here's why. Your point is valid about the way Golden State's group of thugs Bogut, Greene, and Lee beat up on Blake. Then you have Randolph with Memphis and Ibaka with OKC roughing him up when they play Blake. If Blake takes these clowns outside and make that 15 to 20 foot jump shot. It would give him the opportunity to use his quickness and power to drive to the basket. Doc has to allow Blake to play outside the paint and get these slow footed hackers in foul trouble. He cannot allow Blake to get beat down like by these roughnecks. Start clearing out allowing Blake to operate from the outside as well as the inside.

The problem in the paint on the defensive side can be corrected if DeAndre would fall back and not stray so far away from the basket. They all need to talk and keep themselves between the man and the ball and keep their eyes wide open.

Thanks for commenting. It's good to know there are some real basketball fans out who appreciate what Doc has done with the Clippers.

I agree. I also like the guy Philly waived Earl Clark. If they can pull that off Big Baby and Big Earl the Clippers can win the west. Blake was and DJ were tired as hell last night you could see it in their body language but they persevered.
Posted Monday February 24, 2014, About: Big Baby in L.A. by Monday?
This would be a great pick up for the Clippers. Doc needs another big body inside and a back up Blake. Big Baby knows Doc's system and has won a championship under Doc Rivers. The biggest problem with the Clippers make that the two biggest problems with them are as follows. Interior defense in the paint. When DJ or Blake's man screens for the guards or a big like KD at the top of the key they lose sight of their man rolling back to the paint for an easy pass and bucket. Second, Blake has a good outside jump shot and he must use it to lure physical goons who play dirty Ibaka, Randolph, and Bogut outside. Then he can use his power and quickness to get to the basket instead of staying in the paint to be pushed around and beat up on. This would cut down on his charging fouls and get players like them in foul trouble. Write this down all you Clippers haters. If the Clippers focus and correct their interior defensive problems they will win the west. Yeah I said it !

It's not a bad idea if thats what they are doing. Being from Chicago I would love to see Parker and Rose playing for the Bulls. They have nothing to play for this season so prepare for next season.
