Even with adding mark, we (the yankees) will still be below what our payrole was last year. WE can even go out and sign pettie too and be under last years payroll by 8million. I love everyone that says all we do is spend. The new stadium will generate more revenue (regardless of economic times) than the old one did. The media says that we are asking tax payer for 400 million more in taxed exempt revenue bonds because we can't pay! The yankees have paid for 850 million of the project. The remainig cost are on the city that will fix parking and train stations. That is what the money is for. The yankees are the Goldman sacks of baseball. They are not hurt by the economy and are fiscally responsible. And all the other team shoudl be happy with the money we spend because that allows your crappy city to field a team with no fans in the stands.

Lets be serious here for one second. Bottom line is the yankees are doing the right thing. We will be keeping all of our young pitching prospects and building a starting rotation that will absolutely dominate. This is how it should be. Finally the yankees we all know and love( or for the hater standpoint, hate) are back. Secondly i would like to talk about a few things i have seen on the internet in that past couple of days. There have been few people that remember a guy by the name of scott brosius. This man the year before coming to the yankees batted 209. The following year he batted over 300 and helped us win a world series. I feel that swisher is going to be this type of player for us. Bottomline is that the yankees are going to be a powerhouse to open up the new house. It will be the house that our starting five built this year. Rotation: 1) CC 2)WANG 3)BURNETT4)CHAMBERLIN5) PETTITE. This will be a team that can win 100 games!!!!!
