The guy was probably wanting the stick to sell on ebay. The girl will hang it on the wall and may even incorporate it in her wedding. Having raise a girl hockey fan, nothing would surprise me. My grandson has a puck that he got at a Blue Jackets game. It is a prized possession.

How is it possible for the White Sox to trade for him when everyone knows that the RED SOX are the one's that will wind up with him. San Diego's new GM is a former Theo Epstein flunky and wil give Gonzales up on the cheap to his former boss.

BTW, I thought that Cleveland was the farm team of MLB. There were a lot of former Indians in the playoffs.

If MLB can make Marge Schott sell the Reds, I don't see why they can't make the McCourts sell. Say what you want about some of the wacky things Marge said & did, but she at least cared about winning. Can't say the same about the current Reds owner. Who realy care what the owner is like. If they put a winning team on the field, all is cool. Maybe MLB should force Selig out instead.

If the Tribe can get Bobby V. For the same, or near cost of Manny Acta or Travis Fryman/ Torey Lovello, they will do it. If Valentine cost considerably more, he'll have to find employment elsewhere. The Indians just don't like to spend money nowdays.
