If i was the Yankees GM i would be shipping Nady down the river as soon as possible. I would look to trade him for a young catching prospect or a pretty solid outfield/utility man. While I hate to say it, it is also time to start thinking about getting rid of Godzilla. We need a DH that will be able to hold up for at least the first month, s maybe put a combo package of him and Nady for a corner outfielder and move Damon to full time DH seeing as he can't throw the ball anymore.

It is going to be World Series or Bust for Joe this year. He had his one year pass of managing an underachieving team. If he doesn't either win the division and make it to the ALCS or get the wild card bid in and make it to the World Series then he is gone. Hopefully he will be able to inspire the team a little better than last year and keep his job. I think that with a few up-and coming players such as Jackson Next year and Gardner this year Joe is going to be an important piece of the puzzle because of how well he introduces the kids to the climate of the big league. I think that he will get max production from Cano this year and that at some point during the season he will trade Swisher, Nady, Kei Igawa and possibly Ian Kennedy for a top flight corner outfielder. Matt Holiday anyone?

As a Huge yankee fan I can olnly hope that they trade PAPI. I would much rather take my chances with TEX or any other hitter in league with the game on the line. PAPI is the most dangerous hitter in the league and will come back with a strong 2009 campaign unfortunatley for my boys.
