i think the yanks should pick up manny. let me tell you why. for one thing, manny's contract would sure be a heck of a lot shorter than tex's with relatively the same stats. i dont think the yankees were really in the market for a long term first baseman. eventually they're gonna have to move jeter over to 1st and so picking up a 8 year contract for tex just seems ridiculous. although manny has a huge ego, doesn't everyone else on the yankees? i'm sure he'd fit right in. i hate to say it, but he's probably the better choice for this ballclub

first off, there is no way that petite will sign with boston. hes gonna be our number 3 guy. cc, wang, petite. add joba to the equation, thats 4. we can deal with hughes at 5. now even if we dont sign burnett (which we probably will) that is a dominating staff if ive ever seen one.) on the other hand, you got wakefield. and lolchoz. its gonna be fun to watch our hitters dominate
