He just learned that OSU will face an SEC team every year in the bowl game....be thankful the picture is of his upper lip, and not a live shot of his underwear.

It's amazing that any top recruit seriously considers OSU anymore. Though I guess the easy conference, coupled with the lack of a conference championship game, makes for an easy path to a BCS game.

But god, do they need a coach at OSU. The SweaterVest has become a Jim Rome punching bag in the last few years.

Posted Sunday November 23, 2008, About: Is Weis done at Notre Dame?
Good stuff here....as a UF guy, I was almost distraught when Ful-figured-mer stepped down. I love the Coach Swap concept, and am SURE the rest of the SEC would love for Charlie Weis to work some of his "magic" against them!

Amazing that ND gave this badonkadonk a 10-year deal. Of course, this is the same organization that used to "relocate" priests, so I guess it fits.
Posted Sunday November 23, 2008, About: Notre Dame's bowl options
Yes, ND's lack of success in bowl games in the last 15 years borders on comical. This is a team that has consistently played a light schedule (three games against the service academies each year, plus other cupcakes) and yet they cannot seem to find a coach who can win.

Aside from the aberration that was 2005, this is a program that is in serious decline. Charlie is NOT the guy to turn this around. His reputation was as inflated as his belly, and he has yet to prove himself on the college level. This is going to finish as a 6-6 season with a schedule that EVERYONE admits is easier than last year's schedule! Part of me would LOVE for them to get a major bowl game, so I can watch another blowout.

I remember a crazy ND friend of mine wanting to bet me on the ND/LSU game a few years back, even though I am a fan of neither team.. I was pretty convinced that he had lost his mind, so I tried to get him to bet me $500 that ND would win. Instead, he negotiated it down to $100. Of course, I basically collected the C-note at halftime. LSU could have scored 60 in that game if they wanted to.
Posted Sunday November 23, 2008, About: Official: NFL games are not fixed
If you actually have to come out and say "No, NFL games are not fixed", you have some serious problems on your hands.

Of course, watching the officiating of these games make me realize they DO have some serious problems. I was disturbed with the difference in penalties in the SD/Pittsburgh game. I've been watching football a LONG time, and never have I seen a stat quite as strange as that one.

I'm convinced that there is some 'manipulation' of the game by the officials. Whether it is intentional, or just poor officiating, remains to be seen.
