into an all-out hate war. Thanks New York Post!
Still, all I know is this--> come the summer of 2010
one sports fanbase will be utterly crushed &
shell-shocked into prolonged depression. As a
loooooong suffering N.Y. Knicks fan I can't help
but be conflicted with the matter of that ultimate
free agency period.
In one perspective, New York basketball has
certainly seen its worse era under the Dolan
regime and the fans have suffered the kinds
of torture that are about to be outlawed. So,
I would think its only fair we sign the
Messiah, ur, King err, Lebron James!
Nevertheless, on the opposite angle, I truly
feel morally wrong and dejected if the Knicks
essentially send the CLeveland sports
community into permenant sorrow. I mean it
is technically possible to resurrect our pro
basketball franchise without James. Really,
Bosh & Wade; A'mare & Wade, A'mare & Nash;
Nash & Bosh, etc.
In the end, I will remain confident that our
chubby chief of basketball operations will pertain
in selecting two fine athletes to help save our poor
Knickerbockers and bring us back to glory.
P.S. For all those who say the Knicks stink, really have
any of you bloggers been watching the same team?!
They have certainly been playing better than anyone
could expect and are actually getting some positive
praise. In fact they are, at the moment, the eight
seed in the East. And if not for those massive trades
earlier in the season; they probably be above .500 right
now. So, please don't judge this team as another Isiah
disaster {as long as we keep the Beast known
as Starbury away- we wil be safe ;-}
Thus, I proclaim the Knicks to be a descent--to average
35 win team. In other words, a middle of the pack
team that has skyrocketed from the hellish basement
of the NBA dregs. So, show some respect to D'antoni's
boys, they are developing something hopeful & productive
at the Garden.
crash of the D-Train. Even though he help defeat
my Pinstripers in '03, I've always liked Mr. Willis &
hope for his return to glory.
On another note, where are those "experts"
who proclaim the MVP season and career of Miguel
Cabera? The guy could become one of the worst busts
ever if doesn't shape up. I honestly hope things get a
bit better in Detroit his season. Last year was just
too painful for those fans and of course, Jimmy Leyland.
this latest development. They don't want to come
so close to locking a suitable replacement for Manny
and then blow it at the last minute.
Even if this is a bluff, the other suiters must use
this laspe of Bosox judgment, for their advantage.
I'm lookin at you Halo and Pinstripe fans!
Still, to be fair to the red nation, if Boras is
demanding a ten year deal then maybe it is too
rich for anyone's taste. Let's hope the wackos running
the Nationals sumbit to all of Boras demands then
everyone's happy... well except for that Baltimore Grinch,
Peter Anglos
must be the other guy's fault. They are not a suitable working
environment for anyone because I, Kenny Lofton, hated it
there.
When our beloved General Von Steingrabber put it out he
wanted your services badly and yet you failed terribly to validify
that 2004 contract. You were outplayed and outclassed by Bernie
Williams and even Giambi in that year and you fail to realize that.
Still, I hope CC gives you a call or text message when he's winning
divisions titles, cy youngs, pennants and maybe even a WS title. I
wonder if you'll be able to comprehend the moment when your pal,
CC, reports all your assumptions wrong.
the bank for A.J. Burnett and not for Tex!! Is Tex going to
augment an offense lilke Manny is capable of doing? No, but
what he will do is provide for clutch & quality at-bats that
endure no matter what time of the season. Also, it would be
nice to have some gold glove caliber defense to scoop up all
the errand throws from A-rod, Cano and the Captain.
And I could somewhat understand Cash's decision if the CC
deal prevented him from making anymore huge signings but
with A.J. coming on board I guess the real reason is this:
He is naive and blind to the organization's HORRIBLE offense
that always fails in the clutch situations and will get even
worse this year without Abreu. This lineup needs someone not
only to replace Bobby's key RBI production but also to provide
Alex the needed partner to protect his already feable mindset.
Imagine this not worried- Yankee fans- Matsui or {GASP!} Cano
batting third infront of A-Rod!! Matsui, as much as I love his clutch
offensive performance, is too fragile to be counted on in those
situations. And we all know how well Cano is at hadling pressure or
driving in runners in clutch situations.
Heed my words Yankee Universe-
the Yankee season will deeply depend on how Cano matures this
season and no amount of pitching will change that!
...Or Cashman could this bleak prophesy if he freakin signs Texiera!
Please, Brian, don't seal the vault now that you are so close to fixing
the team's last gapping flaw!!
about how great he's going to be for the BrewCrew ;-) Its really sad
for any Yankee fan to be dissappointed by this deal as both outfielders
are solid defensively {Cameron is better though},but the big difference
is this...ONLY ONE IS A MAJOR LEAGUE HITTER!!!
Miike Cameron is no futurre all-star because of his awful strikeout
ratios yet I'll take it because we will be getting some actual Run production
from the CF spot. His descent power numbers are remarkable compared
to what the MelkMan could ever give- which was practically nothing!
The guy was not even ahead of Brett Gardner because he's
inferior in field, natural speed, stealing bases and heck I'll bet
eventual a better OBP as well.
Folks, if anyone, especially you Brewer fans, think you got the
better end of this deal well... someone needs to see a doctor
quickly ;) Enjoy having him and BE WARNED there will be times
his bat will look inferior the pitcher's at-bat!!
Also, this is not a sign, Yankee fans, of the end of the youth
movement. Just the end of the Yankees believing what their own
network potrays some of their talent to be. The reality was clear
about Melky's future--> fourth outfielder at best. In other words,
nothing worth keeping and why not use him before his value
pummets into bupkis this year sharing time with another bench
player Brett Garner. Folks, the Yankees are doingthis so they can
transition into the Austin Jackson era slowly and not rushed because
of a humilating Melky/ Garnder combo.
Finally, Yankee fans relax over your spilled Melk ;) Cameron is a
fine ONE year step gap for the club untill..."The Sensational Austin Jackson"
{patent pending on that nickname FanNation!} to arrive and show Yankee
fans what a potential starting CF looks like again.
the post-Starbury Curse--> which is some sweet
basketball!
I mean look at the Timberwolves,Nets, Suns...
can't wait for 2010 {with a vastly improved roster no
matter what} and knowing Marbury will have to watch
from the sidelines of whatever franchise he's about to
ruin next. Damn, I hate this bum...
dare someone as decitful and cowardly as Starbury...act like
he deserves loyalty.
I am really ashamed of my fellow Knick fans for supporting such
a **** that has done nothing but humilate, abuse and corrupt
my hometown team. Everytime my Knickerbockers had chemistry
he was there to destroy it. Everytime my Knicks were playing
respectable ball {which was rare} he was there to put it back into
the gutter. Everytime I tried to enjoy watching my team, he was
there to end my joy.
He hasn't earn any of his 20 million a year salary and has burned
every relationship he has in the league. And I mean everyone-
GMs, owners, coaches and players- dislikes and at the very least
distrusts this man.
How, can he expect anyone to treat him fairly or trust him when
he has screwed every organization he's been part of!! I can only
hope the Knicks can finally deal away this poison as soon as possible
and God help the next team that signs this absolute loser.
They may be a better team or franchise at the moment but signing
C.C. will be costly to their chances of competiting next year. If
they get C.C., Texiera will probably vamoose to the team that owns
their soul {red sox} or the Yankees. Also, they could say goodbye
to K-Rod as well and maybe even Garrett Anderson. Also, Vlad is
declining each year as his physical prowess & production decreases
every year.
The point I'm trying to get is the Angels had arguably fielded
the best team in their history last year and they still could
not overcome their personal hex against the Saux. Sorry, but
the Angels had their prime chance to capture the WS title and
still they couldn't handle an injured and inferior team they
dominated all season.
So, by all means say C.C. will sign with the Angles because he
loves the West Coast but I can't believe he will buy this fraudalent
notion. At least I hope he would be more aware than that. Like I
said you could argue the better team notion but I disagree with
it strongly. The Angels showed the MLB what type of team they
are in the postseason with their pitiful performance in the
postseason this year.
off season. This time around he is coming off arguably his worst year by performing like
an over-hill bad pitcher who famous gritty determination is no longer good enough to
save his bacon. I was devestated in his first departure yet after all the heartbreak
he caused Yankee fans world-wide w/ his steroid admission & failure to buttress the
weak rotation -> his next departure won't hurt nearly as much. Take a much deserved
pay-cut and Yankee fans will welcome you back.
