I was there... it was terrible. So many people showed up who didn't know a thing about hockey. They walked to their seats during play and spilled dippin' dots all over the place.
When you play the kings, it should be an automatic W on your calender, that was just a terrible game....

As the pitching woes continue, i'd say we needn't worry about the starters. Eventually Wainright will come back and Carp hopefully will make it back off the DL. Those are 2 key additions to the starting rotation. Spending money on a rental would be like burning cash at this point.

The power play up front for the blues in my opinion is good. Its the blue line we have to worry about. When Eric Johnson is the only reliable guy who can pinch in on from the point and he was a rookie last year and when you have Boyes on the point (whom can't keep the puck in to save his life, thats a problem.

Shanny would be good for one thing: selling new jerseys because everyone here loves him. I say, leave the old guys to the other teams and let Oshie, Berglund and Perron get a lot of ice time.

Shanny may have leadership, but at the cost it'd take to get him here and the ice time he'd take away from the younger forwards, its not worth it. For the PP, you have MacDonald, Boyes, Kariya, Tkachuk, Perron, Oshie, Stemniak and Berglund. Thats a lot of interchangable parts. The PP starts on the back end and unfortunately thats where we have a lot of cash into "defensive" defensemen. Johnson is still young, Wagner spent a lot of time down in Peoria and was hurt and now we have Pieterangelo who is unproven and will most likely be sent down to junior hockey after nine games up. Everyone else we have is worthless when it comes to PP and points.
