Posted Thursday January 01, 2009, About: Has Bears GM opened door for McNabb, Cassel?
You are correct that T.O. shouldn't call out a teammate. He was playing after a quick return from the broken leg.(a lot of heart ) In frustration seeing a chance at a ring go down the tubes as McNabb was quitting on the final drive that could have got that ring he called him out on that. No urgency on D.M.s part. That is not what champions do. That is what will always separate him from the greats. That is why his heart is questioned, not hate. You yourself stated "TO was right in most of what he said" so you agree?? Correct!! We are debating opinion and perspective. If you don't agree I can respect that but don't disagree and then make may point for me.You contradicted yourself 3 times in that paragraph!

That is what he is payed to do. He quit in that game. The biggest game of his career to this point. I don't personally like T.O. but he showed heart in that game and called Mcchoke out.

You must not remember his Super Bowl choke...no heart!!

Plus McNabb is old. Orton put up descent stats. If they can get a young guy, maybe a good move.Cassel is a product of Patriots system. Not much more proven than Orton. Bears don't have any receivers. Orton knows the system and has chemistry with the team. It better be a proven upgrade. They finally have drafted a good rb. Get a couple of receivers and they may win the north.Unless the Pack's "D" steps up.

I sure hope my comments with punctuation and( ) don't read like this. My eyes hurt.I try to use complete sentences at least. Time to change the writing style.
Posted Wednesday December 31, 2008, About: Sources: Cowher didn't want to coach Favre
How long did Aikman play? Favre would have stayed in G.B. but lets not get into that debate. Both sides were at fault in that mess.He followed his heart not his wallet like so many players today. Troy left the game because he would risk his health if he took anymore hits to the head. You are comparing apples and oranges.
Posted Wednesday December 31, 2008, About: New crew chief for Almirola
Nascar is getting to be like all the other sports.Soon they will have a salary cap and need a franchise tag to keep a crew chief!
Posted Tuesday December 30, 2008, About: Terrell Davis calls T.O. 'a cancer'
This is what I was talking about when I said it is a win/win for Jones. He brings these questionable character guys in and if they don't pan out on the field(which they didn't/missed the playoffs) they keep the spot light on the BOYS in other ways.1700 comments. Look at the most commented articles on t+r.Pac man, T.O. and the boys feuds.. Hey Jerry... Guess it works!!
Posted Tuesday December 30, 2008, About: Cowher eyeing Jets job
Holmgren would be a good choice but Cowher would bring a ring. He is a great coach.A players coach.Firm but fun. He's innovative and a good judge of player and coaching personal.

Agree with most of ya. Teams are cutting heads and crying money trouble(not crying broke just yet) who in their right mind would venture into something like that.Especially with the guys that are running the show and all of the changes happening in the sport.
Posted Monday December 29, 2008, About: Sources: Allmendinger replacing Sadler
It's way more of a team sport than people often realize. Take Knause away from Johnson and does he win 3 titles in a row? Pit stops gave Rusty and Gordan lots of wins over the years. You get these kids some experience and a good crew and look out.Teams(Roush,Ginn and then DEI) brought in an experienced guy like Mark to work with these young drivers so they develop. Watch Hendricks drivers(Jr. especially) improve this year.Although the cot kinda leveled the playing field between new and old drivers. They all had to adjust. Old drivers may even have had to unlearn stuff to adjust.(possibly Sadlers problem)So do they loose much switching AJ and Sadler? Probably not..
Posted Monday December 29, 2008, About: Sources: Allmendinger replacing Sadler
Agreed..they must see something in AJ. Sadler hasn't had much success recently.I remember saying "what's with this kid Ragan, what's the cat in the hat thinking" ran around a few years w/o much success. This year he ran pretty well ,consistently.Regan Smith continues to show talent from time to time.Give him a year or two and we may see why, especially if the crew chief, crew and driver all click.

Those guys are definitely fun to watch. Remind me a little swervin Irvin. A little dangerous sometimes but they put those cars into spots you don't think they will fit. They think they can do anything on the track.Maybe not as well liked by other drivers but successful.

Just to clarify to Jr. fans. He also is very likable, unlike Sr.(you either loved or hated him)Jr. has the name and the personality. If he ever raises his driving success level to match Gordan or Johnson's the guy will be off the charts.
Posted Saturday December 27, 2008, About: NASCAR's top marketable driver is...
Mark also had some huge endorsements in the past. Stewart has Subway and Depot.Edwards has Aflac.Johnson,Lowes and huge recent success.Gordan is Nascar's 2nd poster boy behind Jr. and Kahne has got poor driving woman chasing him in commercials. Expose and likability.

That is also why Bobby Labonte made the top 10. Petty is the biggest surprise. Only thing I can figure is name recognition from Richard.
Posted Saturday December 27, 2008, About: NASCAR's top marketable driver is...
Class will always top success. Those are two old school drivers and probably the two most well liked and respected by the other drivers. No arrogance just doing the job at hand.Gordan's whining in the past affects this and he and Johnson come across to some as arrogant.(bigger egos) Martin and Burton are considerate, better team players, unfortunately that is probably why Mark doesn't have a championship!

"bron"can't beat them single handed. He is good but not that good.Off nights and chokes keep it from happening.
Posted Friday December 26, 2008, About: TV's most watched team is...
Jerry Jones brings in guys like Pacman,T.O. and other criminal element because it sells. They are the Nation Enquirer and Cops tv rolled into 1. Have you ever seen a team take the chance on so many players with questionable character. He will take the chance for the talent because it's a win/win.If they don't win on the field, they win in exposure.

The guy is a class act. Young players should follow his and Dirks lead.
