I predict browns are gonna trade down into the 15-16 range and get themselves another 2nd round pick.. i could see them passing up aj green and moving down taking a guy like julio jones.

Then come back in the second round and take a defensive linemen and a true middle linebacker.

what cost mangini his job was the fact that they lost 9 games by a touchdown or less. They blew 4th quarter leads in all first 3 games of the season, there was that absolutely embarrassing loss to jacksonville.. and then followed up shortly by losing to 2-10 buffalo and 2-11 cinci.. topped off by the fact that the team totally mailed it in against pittsburgh.

did anybody else see the press conference rob ryan had before the game last week talking about how they were the only defence not to give up 30 points in a game this year and top 10 in so many categories blah blah.. tomlin probably had that played in the steelers locker room.

The browns were better this year but they underacheived. This team should have won 7 games and i think thats fair, and i think that would have saved mangini his job. I think john fox is probably the best candidate for the job and holmgren should not be the coach. that is way too much responsibility for one guy.

nah dude i dont even know who that is

in my opinion the only way to really get an idea of this is to let colt play the remainder of the season.. or at least another 4-5 games. But it sounds like when wallace/delhomme are ready they are going back in..

ps anybody know how the browns are doing as far as cap space? we could porbably use that 7 million giong to delhomme on someone else after this year

i like seneca and i think he should be the starter while a young quarterback develops.. but im not sure colt mccoy is that guy. I think it would be a big mistake if we have a chance to draft andrew luck or jake locker and we dont do it. waiting around for a third round pick to develop is the definition of mediocrity. If Mccoy plays well this year (and by well i mean somewhere better than delhomme as played but not necessarily as consistent as seneca) than maybe i will feel differently, but we need a franchise qb.
Posted Thursday October 14, 2010, About: Browns Trade Jerome Harrison to Eagles for Mike Bell
its a good move for us because even if mike bell isnt as good as harrison he will come here motivated. Harrison was looking pretty disinterested since week one. Bell will help this week if he gets in because just like against baltimore, the best way to run the ball on good defenses is right at them. If you try and go side to side they have too much speed, but if you lower your shoulder and try to run through someone your always moving forward.
Posted Thursday October 14, 2010, About: So, I'm guessing Colt McCoy was another wasted draft pick?
i think the browns defense is going to give a good effort, but unless the offense can at least maintain some drives and keep the clock going the D will get worn out. This game will probably be close at halftime but if the defense tires i see pittsburgh laying it on in the second half.

Well Mccoy is gonna get his shot so it will be a learning experience for him im sure. But lets not be too quick to annoint this guy as the future of the franchise or start saying the 'colt mccoy era' or anything like that. He was a 3rd round pick. If he turns out thats great but if he falls on his face he isnt a bust. If the browns get a shot at one of the top quarterbacks in the draft next year i think it would be foolish to pass on them.

Ps.. at what point does mangini start getting some heat for these losses.. we have had the lead in every single game and we have one win to show for it. at the start of the year i though we had a legitimate shot to win 7 games.. now im looking at the schedule seeing buffalo, carolina and maybe jacksonville as winnable games. We will be lucky to finish 5-11 this year.. disapointing after how much the defense has improved.

Totally agree with this. Seneca has played well. He completes a high percentage of his throws and last week against atlanta he started to get massaquoi and the recievers involved more. I think we would have won if he stayed in..

I'm really disapointed in Delhomme. He cant even get on the field and at this point im not sure i want him out there. He is not the best option at quarterback. I know this team is totally different than last years but its still so frustrating being 1-4 after having so many games we could have won... and with the schedule we have coming up, if colt mccoy is gonna be the starter this could easily become 1-7.. im a little worried
