Hey guys, one of the moderators here. Thought I would chime in about some of the comments. Hope it helps.

Brief explanation of my background here. I got into FanNation about four years ago as a member largely because I thought the Throwdown function was awesome. I had frustrations about dupe accounts and spam, much like you do, and was eventually fortunate in being offered a job as a moderator. I assure you that spam annoys me as much as you. I made a comment tonight to a friend during work asking what the heck motivates someone to make a living out of harassing people. It's about as pointless as parking ticket cops.

Hank, I assure you that there is no conspiracy between spammers and our site. Our purpose is to try and maintain the integrity of the website by keeping it clean. Have we figured out a way to stop dupe accounts and to stop spammers? Unfortunately, we haven't. That doesn't mean we don't care or share the same frustrations that you do. That said, I really appreciate you and every member that dedicates time to this site. So thank you.
