Damnit! Let the (minor league) kids play! Give them a shot. If we win some games fine, if not it won't be the end of the Yankee world! I'm tired of seeing too many old geezers on life support due to HGH or what have you playing (not specifical talking about Chipper or Lee)...
Damnit! Let the (minor league) kids come up and play! If we win games fine, if not it won't be the end of the world. Give the young their shot. I'm tired of seeing too many old geezers playing these days who are probably still on life support due to HGH or what have you (not specifically talking about Chipper or Lee)...
Why would the sponsors say anything? Aren't they the ones feeding these new contracts with all this TV money? But the fans should give a big F U as for going to the games or buying any merhandise for sure. There is absolutely no excuse for the high price of seats around the league. And please spare me the "stadium vendors need to get paid a decent salary" excuse!
I can't comment on the steroids but I'm from NYC and have seen him around in the past. I've also heard from various people about whom he may have been involved with. I won't name names but hmmmmm....But the fact that he's a Metal head, I'll cut him some slack...
Yeah, I know about all that TV money but I would love to follow the money trail. Somehow I believe it all leads to the White House...Big business, big money...the 2% will have their huge portion of the meal while the rest of us continue to fight the crumbs left laying around. Sorry, I didn't mean to get political on this thread but if you really think about it...follow this Hernandez money trail and you will see what I'm talking about.
As I figured, this got out of hand! I can imagine within 5 years how many pitchers will be getting 30M a year and how many position players will be getting at least 35M a year. I still have no clue where all the money is coming from. And by that I mean how much are fans responsible for the $? I know that advertising is a big supplier but geez.....
On another note, why is this thread at such a slow place? You would think that it being about the beloved/behated Yankees that words would be spewing from all over the place with such ease.
I don't see who may be left to sign anyway this season before it starts or how good their prospects really are but I guess they can try and trade at midseason if necessary. I wouldn't mind, though, that if they really do have strong farm system to take their time with the team and wait for those prospects to come up.
