and to the poster of this comment..... you sound like one angry person. get back on your meds or call your shrink asap! the passion you display over others lives could not be more irrelevant to them or folks that read this stuff..... oh, and i'm sure sergio is relieved to know you have his back..... he can sleep at night now! good to know you're keeping it real LMAO!!
LOL.... don't think his career and life are forever stained!! media is keeping this alive as long as they can. it will die down soon. and tiger saying he's "hurt" by these comments..... that's milking it for all he can. you think he seriously cares what a fellow golfer says?? he is so wrapped up in being "tiger" he couldn't care less about all this hype!
tiger will never quite be at the level he was 10 yrs ago, however, he looks real sharp right now! we all knew he'd win again, but most did not see him winnng as he is this year. still questions about him breaking Jack's majors record. that's the only real question and the main goal tiger is looking for.
JJ opened a V.S. store in his stadium last season. the local press was all over him for it, but it probably makes money. most things he does add to his bottom line.
been to games at their old stadium (many) and once to his new stadium. the old one was a great football stadium. the new one.... it's over-the-top. HDTV screen above the field - 60 yrds long, dancers, cheerleaders, cars on display.... it's a circus. too many distractions. takes away from the game. it's one heck of a stadium, but it is so MUCH it pumps up the other teams.
it's no home field advantage it seems. a lot of flash and you walk in eyes wide open impressive, but then the game starts....
JJ is living of his (Johnson's) past success and seems content. and keeping cowboy stadium booked is certainly a focus. and maybe if he opens a few more victoria's secrets stores it will distract the fans enough from what's happening on the field.
and romo..... well, we all knew the extension was coming. JJ had to do this to get cap room money to use for new draft picks he will be deciding on soon. all those deals he's done to mostly average players have caught up with this now over paid team.
there were other options at QB, but they were risky. so stay the course and sell the fans how close this team is to success. but you are right, JJ is close to breaching the deal with fans and another bad start in '13 and his palace might start to be empty in the 14-18 levels.
and romo..... not too sure he's a true leader. but he will win a few games each year and some impressively. yep, he will win just enough to get to the game that matters, where he will choke once again when that last minute drive is needed. it's a mental thing for him and not just in football. romo is a talented athlete and impressive golfer. he has had many tournaments where he shot lights out golf for three rounds, but gave it all back and more on the last 18 holes.
OK...... someone needs to ease off the pay-per-view channels for a while. maybe cut the porn movies back to say 2-3 a day..... would be a good place to start..... maybe some good therapy too. GOOD LUCK!
JJ is not looking for a decent QB, unfortunately. romo will get his extension soon and will restructure to get more cap room. way too many holes to fill on this team and no $$$ to spend on free agency. will just try sign their weak picks...... another .500 year in '13 guys.
per your remarks..... romo is not a clutch QB, has repeatedly failed to convert in pressure/big games and having had the chance to change this impression but keeps doing the same thing, and is now a running joke in the NFL. i agree with all of your accessments on romo.... so why the remark about taking him any day over other NFL QBs? this is puzzling! unless you are talking about the 15 other teams with .500 records like dallas, i'd prefer another QB under center that is not a joke, can perform in pressure games and learns from his mistakes rather than repeating them.
OL is bad, garrett is probably worse and JJ is the absolutely worst GM in the game today (although he's a great business mind.... just not football mind.) So, i'd assign blame percentages as follows: romo 20%, OL 20%, garrett 20%, JJ 40%. my reasoning is that dallas does have talent, but no proven HC and we do need a proven HC - not one learning on the job as that costs us games. we need a QB that can learn and improve and romo is the same QB he was 5 yrs ago. but JJ is the man that picks players and does the deals, and the main reason we are stuck in .500 and will likely remain there.
our only hope is he eventually hires a winner HC that can get this group into shape both physically and mentally.
he's a sad individual and his confession with oprah fooled nobody. his narcissism is enormous and he deserves the life he's created for himself. he is done in competitive sports of any type that is sanctioned by any organization.
the harm he's caused others by attacking their character and bullying them with his attorneys is unforgivable..... and we will likely see many civil suits against him in the future.
we can only hope that gruden is coming, and soon! however, most feel garrett will get his final season to attempt to turn things around - it's very unlikely this will happen and garrett will get the axe at the end of '13.
i hope gruden does come in a few weeks. garrett is weak and was not prepared to be HC. gruden would, at a minimum, bring fire, passion and a loud voice to this group.... something not one player on this team has had thrown at them as players on the cowboys team.
3 SB rings and 5 SB appearances.... and you say another SB ring for brady only reopens the discussion for consideraion??? only two QBs have four rings in the history of the league. somebody doesn't care for brady it would appear.
this team is sad and JJ is the main reason. garrett is not a true HC.... that's why JJ never talked with him about ryan.
ryan was booted because JJ made statements like "uncomfortable changes coming" and he had to take action. ryan was the scapegoat.... real poor decision.
JJ wants to run this team, but does not have the football mind to judge talent therefore we pick players and give them huge contracts that they do not deserve and haven't earned. as fans, we are stuck watching our owner/gm absolutely ruin this franchise.
if i had season tickets i'd not renew them for next season. this club is a disaster and until JJ eases up on gm responsibilities or hires a proven HC we are going down the same path we've been on for the better part of a decade.
Posted Monday January 07, 2013, About: Romo must go!
the sad thing is countless cowboy fans still think all this is not romo's fault. granted he's had to do some major scambling at times, but he did seem to be turning the corner leading up to the skins game. bottom line.... romo cannot handle the pressure in the biggest of games. or in his case elimination games (forget this team ever getting to a SB with romo.) tony is 1-6 in elimination games and that record alone should get him released.
but we all know JJ will give romo a few more yrs before finally pulling the plug on this very average QB.
i'm sure any fan that's not a fan of dallas LOVES romo.... along with garrett. those two working under GM JJ will secure our place in .500 football for a long time.
sorry... can't get past denver beating the texans and patriots. looks like you would just like to see a manning SB - wouldn't we all. texans and giants in SB with giants winning back-to-back.
dallas coming out strong and beating atlanta is unlikely.... this team is a circus with the owner as ring master. look for the giants to rise to the top of the NFC east as the season gets into december. and look for dallas to continue their old ways maybe finishing at .500 and hopefully santa brings a new HC to the team for the new year.
those giants.... they aren't supposed to peak until till late Nov or early Dec. you know, when the games really matter to them. don't think there is a better team in the NFL right now. and don't you know they are just waiting to pay back dallas in front of their fans in a few weeks.
watch what you want.... in fact, we fans could all destroy our TVs and the NFL would not care. they will settle this matter when they are ready, but us boycotting games or watching dance shows will play no role in what the NFL does. people seem to think that we fans have some type of power to force billionaires to do things. we do not. and regarless, fans will not stay off their TVs or not use the overpriced tickets they've already paid for. this ref issue will resolve itself, but fans will not be the reason.

the game people want to see will be the pats vs. 49ers
