I hate to sound like this, but how many former OU assistant coaches have "won the big one"? The number is very small folks

I hate to sound like this, but how many former coaches of OU have won "the big one" when they needed too?

I hate to sound like this.....but if we have (and have had) such great coaches......which one of them has really won the big one? Think it over

Remember sports fans, re-tooling is a necessary art form in college ball. Coches gamble with decisions about whom should receive a scholarship offer and who they keep in reserve. Give the Coach the benefit of the doubt (Then ream him after the gamble doesn't play out). I swear I love watching people make jackasses out of themselves and berating their already positive programs.

LOL That light all you Miami fans saw at the end of the tunnel you're in is a train!
Posted Monday December 29, 2008, About: USC assistant accuses UCLA of dirty tricks
It's kind of funny when you thinkabout it. USC is so headed for some serious NCAA problems anyway (ie: Reggie Bush action) no one outside the LA County Limits gives a rip who's pointing fingers
Posted Friday December 26, 2008, About: Richt wants college playoffs
Hey Mark: The key point in reaching BCS Games is getting W's rather than L's in the Stats. The only team you beat that was ranked any higher was LSU and they were as over rated as yours. Quit whining, you sound like Mack Brown

Posted Sunday December 14, 2008, About: Why Bradford might turn pro
Steve Young finished his schooling in the off-season and before he retired was a member of the bar and specializing in corporate law and/all that agent crap. Sam can always finish school; he has so many records that OU will probably allow him to attend just for appearing at Alumni events. Although His Mom wants him to stay, he, like any other football player has a shelf-life and in this year's draft he will be the only Filet Mignon on a tray of Sirloin. The sooners will have to re-tool to be sure, but that's the nature of college football. God Speed Sam Bradford - see you on Sundays!
Posted Sunday December 14, 2008, About: What killed McCoy's Heisman hopes
Next year you can figure that Bradford will be watching someone (I suspect that Colt will have another concussion and will have to re-boot his brain on Sesame Street, so no heisman for Colt) win the Heisman while sitting in the front row at the Awards Ceremony; arrriving in his limo and on the NFL team Owner's private jet. Colt's favorite Chriustmas Carol next year: "Bells will be ringing". My Money's on Texas Tech in the Big 12.

It is actually kind of funny when you step back and look at this.....usually, we as fans of our respective teams are at each other's throats......this one ya-hoo united us all. GOD I LOVE AMERICA!
Posted Saturday December 13, 2008, About: Heisman 'politics' angers Leach
Bradford is in more of a system than Colt is.

Sorry dude but to be a Part of a "system" you had to come in where it already existed. The entire Sooner Offense was completely changed. Up-tempo, no-huddle, spread: Bradford was the Maestro that directed the instruments and executed. Now, if OU is able to get another Quarterback (in the same way Texas Tech does every; freakin; year) that runs it in the same way, THEN you can call it a system.
Posted Saturday December 13, 2008, About: Bradford to test NFL draft status
I think Bradford will find that the NFL needs quarterbacks. It may mean he gets drafted to the Lions, but as Eli Manning proved, he doesn't necessarily have to go there. There are a number of teams where someone of his caliber will make an immediate impact. Tebow and McCoy are different; they're running quarterbacks; and people, they do not have the running talent Michael Vick had - so I would suspect that those two will be road kill very quickly after running the first game. Quick Hand-off's and passing are the way the spread is run; and out of the three of them - obviously from this year's statistics - Bradford is the king.

Posted Thursday December 11, 2008, About: Heisman 'politics' angers Leach
It's not the first time only 3 players were invited; But remember, the finalists are the ones that are invited. If the voting isn't close, he shouldn't go. I personally think Mike Leach is a classy guy,and I understand why he is defending Harrell so much - that's his job. But I also completely understand the "politics". As long as the Heisman is chosen by people, it will be an award that's chosen by subjective criteria rather than just statistics.
Posted Thursday December 11, 2008, About: Why Colt McCoy's staying at Texas
I think it's great that Colt will stay another year at Texas. That gives me another year of watching him play and hoping to god that another DB hits him hard again, rings his bell, and sends his fillings bouncing off the Austin Bell tower. Once he graduates, he'll be a good insurance salesman or towel holder for a group of real men standing in a circle......
Posted Thursday December 11, 2008, About: Texas politician seeks to abolish BCS
There is always one idiot that comes up with something like this when their team doesn't make it. Global warming; a war in Iraq; war in Afganistan; terrorism on the rise; a global economy meltdown; multi-million dollar bailouts of banks, automakers, and other yet to be named industries; Hungar in America; uncontrolled AIDS; America being made to dance by the Oil Industry; the highest unemployment in 15 years, and this guy wants to finger diddle with College Football? Hey, it would be easier to just have Texas win all their games.

Will you people stop calling it the "Sooner Nation". It sounds too much like Muskyberger and I can't stand that guy.
Posted Wednesday December 10, 2008, About: How Wolverines missed on Bradford
I don't think an Oklahoma Kid, an OU legacy (so to speak) would have seriously considered Michigan.
