Or, when one of these catamite coaches dumps his contract & switches schools or bolts to the NFL a step ahead of the law(less). You're right: 18-year-old kid has the right to change his mind. There's a reason there's a formal signing day. Pellini's a putz.

Auburn's just a snake pit. T. Bowden goes undefeated, then gone. T. Tuberville goes undefeated, then gone. P. Dye brings the program back from the grave, then gone.
Love how Rick Reilly took the cash for ghosting Boz's autobiography, then stabbed him in the back like he had no role in the hype. Boz may have been a goof (remember, he was what 21? when he started his BS), but Reilly was a true sellout weasel.
For those teams w/o much cap room, could the sign P to a very long term, but guaranteed deal that would let them pick up other quality FA's? For instance, instead of a monster front-loaded deal that eats up cap room, what about spreading $50M guaranteed over 10 years instead of 2? Guaranteed is guaranteed. They cut him when he's ready and he only counts a little cap space at a time, thus freeing up more room now to get players for this all-in shot.

Stupid.
Those clowns deserve what they get.
