Posted Monday March 17, 2014, About: Tournament's biggest snub
The 16-16 team won its conference tournament and therefore was an automatic qualifier.

Would that surprise anyone?
Posted Thursday August 15, 2013, About: McNabb says RGIII is 'getting brainwashed'
Calling Bayless and Smith credible is a stretch, but you are correct about McNabb.

Good thing he is a 2nd year QB then.
Posted Sunday August 11, 2013, About: Jack Clark fired after accusing Albert Pujols of PEDs use
Honestly, I don't give a rip if he did use PEDs. The idea that the use of PEDs somehow is a greater crime than Gaylord Perry using an illegal pitch to get into the Hall of Fame baffles me. "Cheating" has always been prevalent in baseball and people who talk about the sanctity of the game are wearing blinders. There is nothing sanctified about baseball.
Posted Sunday August 11, 2013, About: Jack Clark fired after accusing Albert Pujols of PEDs use
Pretty sure it was Tony Gwynn's job to get on base and Clark's job to knock him in. Maybe Clark should've taken some PEDs and the Padres would have made the playoffs.

Are you enjoying that sub-.500 record?
Posted Monday January 14, 2013, About: Nash: Howard, not Kobe, L.A.'s anchor
"The" Dwight Howard showed up against Cleveland. Call me when he shows up against someone relevant.
If he continues to win at Notre Dame, the sense of "betrayal" will be non-existent.
Posted Wednesday November 14, 2012, About: Jets teammates rip 'terrible' Tebow
Tebow was traded. He went to the team that gave Denver the best deal.
Posted Wednesday November 14, 2012, About: Jets teammates rip 'terrible' Tebow
Funny thing to me is that all these "starters" are quick to throw Tebow under the bus when Tebow rarely plays. Tebow isn't the reason the Jets are 3-6. The Jets are 3-6 because they suck.
Posted Thursday October 18, 2012, About: ACC tournament on the move?
I agree. Also, the ACC's home offices are in Greensboro as well. If they need a larger venue, then I'm sure the money could get ponied up to either expand the current coliseum or build a new, larger venue.
Posted Monday June 25, 2012, About: Charlotte may drop down to take Barnes
There weren't a lot of rebounds on that team for any one not named Zeller or Henson. He didn't have a good sophomore season, but he showed in his freshman season that he could hit the outside jump shot and do it in clutch situations. He tried to change his game too much as a sophomore IMO and it caused some regression statistically. Terrible defender? You act like there is a premium on defense in the NBA. Barnes will be fine. He's not going to be a game changing elite talent, but I'm not sure that anyone in this draft is.
Posted Monday June 25, 2012, About: Charlotte may drop down to take Barnes
Really? 99.9% of the state of North Carolina doesn't give a rip about the Bobcats. Trust me, he had more pressure the last 2 years at UNC than he'll ever experience with the Bobcats.
Posted Thursday May 24, 2012, About: Clemson a Big 12 target, too?
It is funny to me how all these programs in the ACC are "targets" of the Big 12 even though they struggle to win in the ACC.
Posted Tuesday May 15, 2012, About: The flaws in Davis' game
Shaq is/was a physical freak of nature with his combined size and athleticism. A rare talent that would've excelled no matter what age he entered the NBA. Tim Duncan stayed in school for four years, improved his game, and matured emotionally during that time. Davis isn't used to his body yet and, frankly, is the LAST guy you'd want speaking in the press conference. His speech is nearly unintelligible. He's not a "Face of the Franchise" guy much less a franchise player. The Bobcats, should they get the #1 pick, need to do their due diligence and draft the right player not necessarily the popular pick.
Posted Tuesday May 15, 2012, About: College snub still fuels Paul
If he really wanted to play for UNC, he would've taken the scholarship when it was offered. Sounds like a manufactured story on Paul's part to me. The "walk on" conversation was probably more along the lines of Doherty saying he didn't have any available scholarships and that Paul could walk on the first year and then be on scholarship as a sophomore. That wasn't an extremely uncommon practice. I don't dislike Paul, but he probably should worry about his professional career and what he's doing now over a supposed slight when he was a high school recruit.
Posted Tuesday May 15, 2012, About: Hill risks NBA discipline with 'The world knows' line
If you think the Bulls' titles were 'fixed', you're a moron.
Posted Sunday May 13, 2012, About: Canes looking to add another Staal
Pfft, the Canes aren't trading Skinner for him don't worry about that. The Canes do have a number of young defense prospects in Charlotte however so who knows.
Posted Sunday May 13, 2012, About: Basketball, Gators behind Fla. State's Big 12 interest
LOL, FSU hasn't done jack squat recently. I love how their fans are still living in the 80s and 90s. You can't even out perform Virginia Tech in the ACC. How in the heck do you think you're going to compete with the Oklahoma and Texas?
Posted Sunday May 13, 2012, About: Basketball, Gators behind Fla. State's Big 12 interest
Unless of course the ACC expands again and then is able to negotiate another change.
