Indeed, sounds like another spoiled, self-centered, and no-brain-but-all-brawn athlete. Would feel sorry for the program that might take him. But, I am sure there will be teams desperate enough to overlook his detrimental ways. Let him go Miami. If he can't own up to his mistakes, how can you trust him to lead your team?

Despite how self serving Richt's comment may sound. The fact is the BCS system is dysfunctional. Get all Div-I teams on the same calendar (football wise) and install a playoff. That is the only least-subjective way to settle the score.

NEVER being a winning program? Have you looked at Army's past record? Funny, while I was a cadet at West Point we had successive winning seasons as well as a string of successful seasons in the 90's. Impossible recruiting? Navy and Air Force have shown they can recruit good talent and stay competitive, as Army has in the past. Only person would be a young guy that needs a break? Coach Young, one of the most successful Army coaches was not a "young" coach that needed a "break" when he came to Army. Bob Sutton, now in the NFL, was not a young coach by any stretch of imagination.

Just hilarious reading misinformed and over exaggerated nonsense from folks.

Navy and Air Force has had success in Div I, and so has Army in the past. There is no reason Army can't have the kind of success it had during my cadet years in the late 80's and early 90's. Bobby Ross hung Army out to dry. An ambitious coach with an understanding and appreciation of the service academies' uniqueness, demands, and needs as well as a sound scheming mind can bring success.

Not an Auburn fan, but I can help but say they AD did not make an informed decision, it seems. A defensive oriented guy for an offensively challenged team. has not proven he can take a down and out team to the higher ground - 5 wins in two seasons against mediocre competition. how does this guy stack up against guys like Leach, Gill, etc. He doesn't. And apparently he doen't believe one can win NC at Auburn.

His Auburn connection is tenuous at best - 1 term of DC. Defensively minded coach for a team with offensive woes. Has not proved that he can take a down and out program to higher grounds - i.e. 5 wins in two seasons against mediocre competition. He does not believe you can win NC in Auburn. How does this guy stack up against, Leach, Gill, etc? He doesn't.
