I know the number that's been floating around is $187 mil, but that doesn't take into consideration certain player benefits (like pensions) that also count against the cap. Agreed. By my calculations, if they sign Cano for $25 mil per year, that leaves the Yanks with less than $1.5 mil per position to fill 34 roster spots. I don't think that is going to happen.
