Why are people asking why Pittsburgh had its fourth line out? The real question is why did the Flyers have their first line out? It wasn't "gutless" by Bylsma, it was just pure stupidity by Lavi.
A.) That was a solid, legal hit. A good hit, no matter who is playing and no matter how much time is left in the game. He didn't leave his feet, he didn't use his elbow or aim for the head. He hit the puck carrier. I honestly have no idea what your problem with it is.
B.) The Flyers really deserve everything that happens to them. Both from a historical standpoint, and especially as long as they have Pronger on their roster. A possibly career-ending concussion couldn't have gone to a more deserving person.
They have plan B - his name is Malkin. His numbers are outrageous with Crosby out of the lineup. The team has 30% of their cap space tied up in just two players, and one of them might be having serious problems for years. I say this as a penguins fan - they need to seriously consider using Crosby's $9 mil for something else.
Please don't compare choosing to stay in a city that is below sea level when you have days of forecasting that a hurricane is coming.... to a terrorist attack with no warning.
I wouldn't mind just about any forward in a Pens jersey. They really only have 2 NHL quality lines... thats what happens when 30% of your salary is tied up in two players.
This is the guy who, while at Michigan and not even near the starting job, got annoyed at a party, yelled 'do you know who the **** I am?! threw a brick through the window, and left with his posse. You're looking at the next Ryan Leaf.
Oh and then there's the fact that if the defense even LOOKS like it might get some pressure on him, he can't hit the broad side of a barn. Zero mobility, total moron off the field. No wonder he plummeted.
Northwood University is not in Ohio at all - good work, New York Post. The main campus is in Michigan, with secondary campuses in Texas, Florida, and Switzerland (for some reason). None of which are Ohio, if my geography is correct.
