COWHER POWER IS NOT COACHING IN '09
STOP!
Wow! For a team that was SUPPOSED to win the super bowl they sure are getting all the pre-super bowl hype.
Let's hear it for the REAL AMERCIA'S TEAM...the STEELERS...it's not called STEELER NATION for nothing! And while you're at it, give some kudos to Coach Whiz and the Cards...they defied the odds and are playing on the biggest stage in NFL football.
I'M TIRED OF HEARING ABOUT THE COWBOYS...they are far from a super bowl contender if all your posts are true; except the Ray Lewis post. He's one of the best to ever play the LB position...I'm hardly a Ravens fan, but please Ray, don't end your awesome career on a sour note by playing for the Cowboys!
2. Ray Lewis is a big time player with a big time name, so this doesn't suprise me
3. Jerry Jones is a "big name" owner...The Rooney's aren't & that's why we ARE Super Bowl contenders nearly EVERY YEAR.
HERE WE GO STEELERS, HERE WE GO!!!
His cheating, and I'm not saying he's the only coach who did it, but he admitted to it and it's a fact....has given him a black eye.
I'm sure he's a great coach...a boring coach, but he does have a few rings. Funny thing is, he became a great coach in New England....he was horrible in Cleveland. So, that's why I say he will be in the Hall because of the Brady Bunch...and plus, NE obviously had better technology equipment...LOL!
btw, I saw a clip of the Pats in the SB a few years ago on NFL Network (I believe it was their first super bowl and the next year Weiss & Cornell were gone)....
anyway, i was amazed at how skinny Charlie Weiss WAS....wow, they must have good food at the Notre Dame dining hall!
I wonder if the former Browns ballboy still knows how to pump air into footballs 'cuz after he is unsuccesful in Cleveland that may be his next job.
1 & 2 are stated above
3. Big Ben is his QB
4. Coach Whisenhunt quits the Cards and runs the offense
5. Coach Grimm accompanies Whiz to coach the offensive line
6. "The Bus" gets a set of retread tires
7. Dan Rooney becomes the first NFL owner to own 2 teams
1. He has a $8-$10 million contract
2. He has a voice in personnel matters
Cowher is playing his deck of cards excellent. You want him? Give him what he wants. If not, he's happy in N.C., excellent in the studio and someday, when he's ready and someone is willing to give him what he wants he'll coach again.
Obviously, if this is true the Jets don't want to win because that's all Cowher does...is win. His 149-101-1 speaks volumes.
Hold out Cowher Power! This Steeler fan is behind every move you make!
This would be the smartest thing the Pats could do with Cassell.
* If Brady is fine they have a 'starter' back-up (just as the Steelers do with Leftwich)
* If Brady is not ready at the beginning of the season they have a starter.
Plus, Cassell will be receiving a top 5 QB salary...everyone is happy unless Brady is healthy and plays the whole season..then the Pats are shelling major cash for a baseball hat on the sideline, but it's their business.
This is a no-brainer given the uncertainty of Brady's health.
What does this have to do with Shanahan & Jerry Jones' relationship? I surely hope that Shanahan graduated from Eastern Illinois about 20 or more years before Romo went to Eastern Illinois.
Information the media scrapes up for stories amazes me sometimes.
I say stop all work on the arena until the Pens make the playoffs...I'll be there to watch you after the Steelers run through the playoffs!
Strap it on and play hockey...I'll be there to watch after the Steelers playoff run! lol
But still $80? My thoughts still validate an $80 ticket
God's sake....my regular season ticket for Steeler games is $75....a game.
Amen on your thoughts on the economy, losing jobs, etc. I'm with ya on those thoughts, but seriously.....over 3,000 tickets (that's that latest I heard) still remain unsold?
C'mon! you never know the next time the Vikes are in the playoffs....remember what NFL stands for....Not For Long...lol (ask Cornell, Mangenius, etc, etc, etc)
Think about it...you may spend more money to go watch the game outside the blackout area then it would be to buy a ticket to the game....you better hurry up, you only have until 3:15 Saturday!
I just don't want him to go to Dallas and fix that locker room. I love the turmoil in the Big D!
the Jets can finally get it right by hiring Shanahan because a coach of this stature doesn't come along very often. As for Spagnulo, if I were him I'd enjoy being 1 of the best D coordinators and wait for Coughlin to retire...or get fired.
Succesful coordinators who jumped at a head coaching positions has its up and down...Tomlin worked out in pittsburgh, but what about Cornell and Weiss when they left NE for their head coaching positions?
