Posted Monday October 12, 2009, About: Did Cowboys win save Wade's job?
Ok, I want to address the article, but first I have to get this out of the way.

Why do you people continue to bring down the hate on Roy Williams? To hear people talk about him, he would have to be the worst #1 receiver that Dallas has ever had. That is clearly not true. There is a reason that he made the pro bowl for years in a row in Detroit (and it's not just because it was Detroit). People have been calling him names since he got here, and it's just not fair.
1) We wanted T.O. gone. Okay, not ALL of us, but a good number of the same people who clearly had no faith in Roy. So who did we think was gonna take over?
2) T.O. dropped almost three times as many passes as he caught last year. For every touchdown he made, he killed a few drives. For all of you who like to tout his touchdown numbers, it's like this: In baseball, if a guy hits home runs 50% of the time that he gets a hit, but only hits the ball 15% of the time, he's only hitting home runs 7.5% of the time. It could be worse, but that doesn't make it good.
3) Roy Williams has been accused of not getting open, but I've seen SEVERAL big Williams catches in the highlights this year. The truth is, we are giving Williams, Romo, and the entire offense way too much grief. They may not all be performing at superstar level every week, but they are still performing well enough that they should be 4-1. If a team scores 25-30 points, they should be able to win the game. The 'boys defense is what should be taking the heat. They always seem to think the game is over with about two minutes left to play. It's like they don't have to defend that final drive by the opposing team. It has resulted in a loss and a near loss last week already. The offense should be 4-1. The defense should be 2-3.
4) Flozell Adams has officially taken penalties to a ridiculous level. If you want to say that he had already done that long before now, I won't argue. He needs to go. His benefits no longer outweigh his disadvantages.

And finally, the question at hand. Should Wade be out of here now, despite the win? Yes. Like I said, the defense is our biggest problem, and Wade's specialty is supposed to be defense. He's clearly lost control of his best asset, and with that in mind I say it's time we bid him adieu.

Ok, thank you, apparently it did occur to someone.
Posted Saturday September 12, 2009, About: Kidd buys Phoenix-area mansion
Did it occur to anyone that maybe a 6 million dollar mansion might just COME with 14 bathrooms? That maybe he didn't request a house with 14 toilets, but that he found one he liked and that's how many it had? Come on people, it's 6 million dollars! It probably has a ton of ridiculous non-necessities! They just mentioned the bathrooms because that's how all houses are measured, by the number of bed and bath rooms they have.

Barely a legit player? He may not have awesome stats, but he is an integral piece of this team. He's the spark plug. When J.J. comes out on the floor, he energizes the rest of the team.

Sorry the quote didn't post the first time.

Yeah I see where it's gotten you. You guys won for years with your prospects and excellent farm system. Just because the last three years haven't been great, you're thinking of changing strategies? That's how a team like you becomes a team like we (The Rangers) used to be. Spend all your money on trades and free agents because you either don't trust or are too impatient to wait for the farm system. We learned what we should do from the A's, now the A's should learn from us what they should not.

Posted Saturday August 15, 2009, About: Vick signing upsets Phillies star's wife
Ok, NEWSFLASH lady, just because Vick is coming to your home town does NOT mean that the NFL is required to ask the SPCA for permission to let him come in. I agree that Vick is probably getting off too easy, and that what he did was not only wrong but cruel. But it has nothing to do with you. He is coming to your town to play FOOTBALL, and the NFL has no responsibility to your organization in regards to that.
Posted Thursday July 30, 2009, About: Rangers, D-Backs talking trade?
Ok, I was speaking relatively. They don't really lead the league every year, but they're always up there. My point was that the Rangers need pitching, not more bats.
Posted Thursday July 30, 2009, About: Rangers, D-Backs talking trade?
What are you smoking? Can I have some of it?

The absolute LAST thing the Rangers should do is spend more money on a bat. Their offense is FINE. It goes through slumps like everyone's does occasionally, but for the most part it has been excellent. The problem is that since the Rangers have always had big bats and led the league in home runs, we all seem to think that if we add more power we will win more.

NEWSFLASH: They've been trying that for almost two decades now, and it only worked three times in the mid-nineties. And I don't really think those three times count either, since they lost in the first round of the playoffs every time.

What the team needs is defense. The reason that they have had this dramatic improvement from years past to this year is that their defense is exponentially better. Adding another pitcher would be the best thing they could do right now. I don't know if Doug Davis (who has played here before and left) or Jon Garland are the answer. But I'd sure as hell rather them bring them in than another bat. Because that would just show that after 48 years, they are still ignorant to how to make this team a winner.
Posted Sunday July 19, 2009, About: Will Iverson accept a pay cut?
Not to argue with any of the points you made, but perhaps it is unwise to end a paragraph long response with "not even worth responding to".
Posted Sunday July 19, 2009, About: Will Iverson accept a pay cut?
When Iverson was in Philly, he was EXCELLENT. That's why people like him. Admittedly, his years since then have been questionable, but to say that people like him because he's a tatted up gangsta is ridiculous.
Posted Sunday July 19, 2009, About: Will Iverson accept a pay cut?
That's the last thing the Heat need. AI won't dish to Wade, he'll want Wade to dish to him.
Posted Sunday July 19, 2009, About: Will Iverson accept a pay cut?
On the contrary, while Iverson's attitude is selfish enough to possibly keep a team out of the playoffs, he is still extremely talented and will keep the Clips out of the cellar if signed. A team led by AI will never finish with only 19 wins.
Posted Tuesday July 14, 2009, About: Will Mavs trade Dampier for Hamilton?
I'm down with that. That is, as long as the Mavs make sure they've signed another center before they do it. I'm not a fan of Damp, but he's better than anything else we've got at the position right now.
If they can get Gortat signed, I'd say go ahead with this trade. I'm not really that crazy about Gortat either, but at least we know that he'll be a change from Damp, who clearly isn't the answer at center.
Best case scenario would be to trade Dampier for a good, young big man with some experience to boot, but that would probably only happen in my dreams. Nobody wants to give up the rare great big man for someone who clearly isn't.
Posted Monday June 29, 2009, About: Kidd wants out of Dallas
Fine by me. Let him go. Cuban has the cash to bring in somebody younger who can help us win now. Or maybe we can try to lour Rubio, since he apparently doesn't like Minnesota. I'm not that concerned about point, I'm sure they'll solve it some way. Center, however, I am concerned about. Dampier performed well in these last playoffs, but he's not good enough to win us a title. Not with Shaq in Cleveland and Dwight in Orlando.

"If they're not ready for me to play ball, then somebody is."

Well, let's hope you're right, Vince. I'm not sure anybody wants you as bad as you think. To paraphrase Will Ferrell, who said the following words to Conan O'Brian on his first Tonight Show: "Don't get me wrong, man, I'm pulling for you, but let's be honest. This thing's a crapshoot at best."

Oh that's a brilliant idea. An team past it's prime and in dire need of new blood shedding their first round draft pick. Hit me with another, man.

If you read any of the other comments, the answer to that is clearly no. Lots of people are annoyed. I, however, continue to find it funny ;)
