Exactly. Let's see the first 4 goals last night... breakway, powerplay, Iginla not staying with Krejci and a sick shot from Marchand.
Even if he/they stops 2 of those (the 4th goal wasn't great but they had no help) they still lose when you score once. The goaltenders have been left alone.
I would think not. The Panthers have a lot of depth on defense, take out Campbell, Kuba and Jovo, and they are all young and have a lot of upside: Kulikov, Gudbransson, Robak, Petrovic and Brennan. What they lack, and have always lacked aside from Pavel Bure's time is a bonafide stud at forward. Huberneau is a very good player, but he can't hack it alone. Maybe Bjugstad will be another talented forward, but this team has always had defenseman, but no one who wanted to put the puck in the net. I just do not see Jones as being prudent for the Panthers.
Yes because no one connected with the Canucks ever says anything to reporters about referees... oh wait, nevermind that's the only way Vancouver knows #cryabouttherefsgillis. Shed another tear Canucks you will choke out again no matter who is in goal.
If Tulo and CarGo can't stay healthy (which is likely) Fowler is obvious choice. He has has 2 good years now, and is in his prime. Hack or not, this could be the start of a breakout year that all have waited for.
Ugly landing, there was nothing to the hit, just unfortunate the way Erat turned and Gudbranson's finish the check as Erat was losing balance. Haven't heard anything about him having a hearing and he played last night.
I'm still not sure what to make of Markstrom, he is putting up good numbers while being pummelled. But is the the Tony Romo of goalies? Inflated stats when it doesn't matter but will never produce big results? And I agree the price needs to be reasonable, they should not expect a high end prospect plus. Canucks fans really think they are in a position of strength to deal him, but they aren't if he will only be traded to one team.
It is clear there is only one place he wants to be and that is in South Florida. There is NO pressure playing here, it would be a good gesture to the fans (all 3 of them left) and he would be closer to his family. I still think Keenan was so mad at him and sent him as far away as he could from home and got nothing in return, and didn't care.
Yawn, one good season and you sound like you work for NBC. Beat a real team (and yes I can agree USC is not one), without the help of the refs and then start saying something.
It thought he won because he took over from good recruiters. Just because he called, doesn't mean anything. Cryer will only be a true winner when he wins with his own players who aren't getting arrested all the time.
It won't be anywhere else, the escape clause in the contract with the arena is pretty expensive to cut ties with. Unless Tallon is refering to an AHL Championship for the Rampage, I don't see it. You cannot win without at least one sniper. They don't have anything close to that NHL ready. Grimaldi will be a nice player, maybe Bjugstad can pull off a couple of seasons like his uncle, but not yet.
Exactly...apparently in a void in 2008 (I stand correct) it was ok to lose to an unranked team (one that never got ranked) at home, but not lose to one (that was ranked for a time after) on the road and still be a better choice for the final. Oh and for better comparison, USC non-conference games that year: Virginia, Ohio State and Notre Dame. UF's: Hawaii, The Citadel and Miami (all at home of course... as are all UF non-conference games). In fairness that is a lot tougher than some of their more recent NC opponents.
Yes, a shame in 2007 when Tebow danced his way to a loss to an unranked UNC, the CBS lust with him kept a Pac 10 team (ok here my bias comes in) from dismantling whomever they played in the Championship. There is no doubt that USC was better the the Florida Tebows, but alas the love-fest that was Cryer-Teblow won out. Sour grapes sure, but it would have cleared up a lot.... c'est la guerra
If you note I didn't say ALL UF fans, but more than not, they are not football fans, just UF fans. And I am not discounting, not did I judge any of the Gator fans in here, my comment was a (gross) generalization of life in Florida when it comes to football. UM and FSU have some reall annoying fans, but I found most of them seem to actually know more about football than just their own team and conference.
I withheld because it is irrelevant. I went to both USC and Northwestern.
I went to undergrad at a Pac-whatever number it is now, and got a masters at a Big (oxymoron) 10 school.
I just live with the annoying bias that are Gator fans. Took me about 6 days of living in Florida to hate UF, and solely because (can of worms time) their inability to comprehend that they know nothing about football beyond their own team, and maybe slightly something about Alabama and FSU. It is impossible to have an intelligent converasation about football with them. In fairness there are a few very decent and knowledgable fans, but they are few and far between. Lest I digress.
