Great run indeed, but many players/teams have ridden hot streaks to a SB win. Giants twice, Steelers (vs. Seahawks) and Packers come to mind. The SB hangover is a real ****, plus you need to subtract Lewis and probably Reed for next season.
Some Owner is always looking for a BBD (Bigger, Better Deal - Name the move that line came from) The Kings or Raptors are the obvious choice, but someone will.
If the guy can get people out and there's someone interested, why not? Don't tell me if any of you had the chance to pitch in the majors at that age, you wouldn't.
Actually, Yogi, If you get drafted and turn it down for college, there's a 3 year wait until you can be drafted again. A kid at my son's high school was drafted in the late rounds so his parents researched the issue.
When I hear the ESPN talking heads say "The Royals sent their ace, Bruce Chen, to the mound", We've uncovered the issue. I like some of the Royals young hitters and wonder if my Phillies could secure some offense via a trade.
I doubt Bradley gets the job. The only reason he gets a look is because of what he's done over the years. He's from the previous regime and sadly, that will be his demise.
Let's face facts, you never want to be the man who replaces The Man. Just ask Frank Solich and Gary Moeller. The next coach will only be in State College for a few years or until he gets run out for not being as beloved as Joe. It's the coach after this one that's more important to getting the program back to national championship level.
I cetrainly would.
