If there's one thing the series with the Celtics showed us about the Bulls, it's that they need a post presence that can score consistently. I don't know if picking up Wade will help enough to get them to Championship contending level...they have Ben Gordon right now.. A poor man's Dwayne Wade but lots of similarities between them.

It seems like we're giving up a lot, no? I would like it more if Hinrich and Gooden stayed, and replaced them with Gordon and Noah. (I'm not sure if the salaries work, probably not) I think Hinrich brings a lot to the Bulls, much more than Gordon will ever bring. I'm not sure how long we can keep Tyrus and Thabo and label them as 'developing players.' People are getting tired of waiting.

Heater - Yeah his ppg went up but guess who was on his team...nobody. No one else can score on a consistent basis on the Heat. Also Wade's future is very uncertain with his injury which was huge, one of the worst injuries a basketball player can have. Wade won't be able to throw his body around any more and will be less explosive.

If everyone is saying how Carlisle' style of coaching is so similar to Skiles, then why in the world is this a story. Either GM Paxson is an idiot or the Chicago papers need something to write about. In my opinion, Jeff Van Gundy would be the best man for the job next year in place of Jim Boylan. He's taken teams to the playoffs and from watching and listening to his commentary on the TNT games, he sounds like a likable yet intelligent man. Coach Van Gundy for the Bulls!

Well put palber14, that's exactly what I was going to say. If any of you had been to the Bulls home games that were losses, at the end the fans chanted "Ko-be! Ko-be! Ko-be!" and it was horrible. You could tell the Bulls players were insulted and discouraged by it. I'm glad this is finally over. If Kobe really does want to come to the Bulls, after his contract ends with the Lakers, he will come to Chicago and accept a few million dollars less on his contract. But knowing Kobe, this will not happen.

From the Bulls standpoint, I agree with the previous post about signing Kobe after his contract ends. I think Paxson should wait out on Kobe this season, see how the young core of Bulls can do this year, and then next year we can add Kobe without giving up any players in a trade. And I know Kobe will take up a lot of salary cap if the bulls do sign him. But if Kobe really does "want to win championships" I'm sure he won't mind a few million dollars less.
