I'd love to argue the popularity of Tito here, but I don't think anyone would be able to see past Severn's record and legacy. Great topic though.
Wasn't real sure where to go with this one after giving it some thought, so I tried to go the more sensible route, besides it's baseball...it'll be fun either way. Good luck
I will get to this in a couple of hours....Decided to make this one my comeback Throwdown....

My apologies....poor reading by me. I went back and reread all the arguments and didn't realize that he knew full well what he signed up for prior to attending school there. Please disregard my previous comment. Vote Left.

I think this is probably one of the dumbest penalties I have ever heard of. Bench him for a game for a moral infraction if you want to prove a point. Kicking him off the team for having sex with his girlfriend???? I can't agree with BYU or left in this TD due to my own personal opinion on the matter. Vote Right

I don't see this happening but for the sake of argument, I have to go left on this for now. I see the Laker scenario happening more than I see the Bulls.

Reese has a slight advantage over Smith but not enough to overcome the difference in defensive prowess. Ozzie was an absolute monster all over the left side and he definitely changed the outcome of some games with his defensive ability....Good arguments by both sides.

Any other Td's that anyone wants to do with baseball shoot me a message and I am all over it....Thanks

No, I would still personally take Youk over him but I think that the position in the lineup he will be hitting in will allow him to reap the benefit of playing on a team that will produce a lot of runs. The MVP award is generally little more than a numbers game and he will put up big numbers in that lineup.

I did argue....there was nothing to write a rebuttal too. I pointed out why I saw Gonzalez winning the MVP. Generally your third argument is for countering your opponent's second argument and then summation. There was nothing to counter. But hey, thank you for at least saying why you weren't voting. More than most do.

Conservative Voice and Kenny Powers....wow....voting for a side after a forfeited turn.....now I finally understand why all the old timers left Fan Nation.

I think A-Rod is going to be the dark horse this year. According to all the reports, he is actually healthy and over his hip issue. I think he has a monster year and is right in the thick of the MVP race.

I said that I picked Gonzalez for the MVP, not the triple crown. I am under no illusion that this man will come to Boston and all of a sudden be Ichiro. .300 or even .310 isn't going to win a batting title in a league that has Hamilton, Suzuki, or Mauer in it. I am a Boston fan, but I am also a realist. I think his level of production will be amazing in that lineup, but the triple crown is not even a remote possibility.

Would have picked Cabrera in a heartbeat had it not been for the drinking incident. Man is an absolute beast but you have to wonder how this problem is going to affect his playing and his mind set.

My impression will be that he will hit third in the lineup and have Youk for protection. Youk can hit anywhere and having him behind Gonzalez will relieve some of the pressure of trying to produce in a new city.

Huh? I want to see that Votto can produce like that over a couple of year span prior to making a pick like him over Pujols. Hall of Fame is based over a career, not a couple of years of production. My reasoning is that I would rather put my money on the tried and true player than a guy that had 1 really good year.

I thought about Votto, but I really want to see another year out of him before I pick him over a player like Pujols.

I never said Kolb sucked. I stated that Kolb is not going to lead that offense the way Vick does. They are a good team, but not a great team. Vick is a one trick pony. And predicting injuries is an impossible task, but take a look at history. Vick does not have a good track record of playing full seasons due to his playing style. He has already suffered one injury this year and that will leave him prone to getting hurt again.

You have a point, difference is, Brees doesn't take off down the field several times a game and is not exposed to the punishing hits that Vick takes.
